Good Morning Radio,

It sounds like your weather has not been too great, though you are making the best of it;). DH and I will be on the Enchantment on Dec. 6. I would like to suggest you stay on her until we go because I am enjoying your posts so much:D. In fact, if you wanted to stay on for our 12 day cruise that would be fantastic. Keep up the great post..............

Hi Radio

Really enjoying your live reports and all the pictures. We will be on the Enchantment Dec 6 and was wondering are the trolleys handicap accessible? My husband uses a scooter and find it hard getting handicap transportation.

Thanks and keep the reports coming!!!!!!!!!!

Cindy, We are also cruising with you on December 6th. We've been on the trolley many times and I don't think it can accommodate scooters. I think a scooter on the hills of some of those narrow sidewalks and cobblestone streets could be challenging as well. You can follow this link

http://www.puertoricodaytrips.com/free-trolley-old-san-juan/ for a good description of the free trolley.

Hello everyone. . . Welcome to beautiful St Thomas. We pulled into the harbor very early, before the sun came up. We tied up at the dock by 7:15AM. The Captain just released all passengers at 8AM.

The weather looks promising. . . It is very warm, and the temps will rise to about 86F. There are a few clouds, but it is not raining. Hopefully the weather will be on our side, and I will be able to enjoy St Thomas without rain.

I will be getting off of the ship by about 9PM, and make it over to the Rental Car facility. . .It is visible from the ship. . .right on the pier.

Here are a few pics from this morning. . .

Thanks for tuning in !

Thanks Mark I read the article and seems they may have room for a folding wheelchair but no scooters. Thanks again. Looking forward to our cruise. Hope to see you on board.

Awww Enchantment was my first cruise and a beautiful ship. I think "the stretch" made her the perfect compromise between the space of the bigger ships and still feeling like you are on the ocean. I hope she comes back to FL some day!

What kind of coupons are the offering now for the anchor club?? Can I request more when on board??

Does Bingo cost the same no matter what ship?

Thanks for the great reports, Radio! One quick question for you: Are there packets of hot chocolate mix available in the WJ? I love to mix them with coffee for a quick cafe mocha...

Yes they are. . . I love Hot Chocolate !

Hello everyone. . . I left the ship at about 9AM, and when I walked on the Promenade deck outside I thought to my self "wow!". . The sun is out and this will be great day!

I did have a great day, but the sun didn’t stay out for long. I walked out onto the pier, and picked up my Rental Car from Budget. It was only $42, and it was really worth it. I usually rent a car while in St Thomas, because I am not an excursion guy, and like to come and go at will. . .

I first drove over to Sapphire Beach resort where I took a swim in the calm, warm Caribbean. It was very cloudy, but it was nice to just relax, and lay around for a bit. Sapphire Beach looks her best when the sun is out, and the blue water sparkles and reflects off of the coral. Bit today it was just a nice beach, with several other Enchantment passengers relaxing as well. (I was not happy about the $7/Day chair rental, so I didn’t rent one)

I decided to go over to Coral World at Coki Beach. . . I have been to Coki beach many times, but never had the time to go to CW. The price was good. I had a $3 Off coupon, and the total cost was $16/PP. The price goes up if you want to do the Snuba, get close and personal with a Sting Ray, Sea Lion, or Sea Turtle. . . But the price include all shows, feeding, and attractions that Coral World offers. . .

Ok. . .next stop was Morningstar Beach, over at the Marriott Frenchman’s Wharf. I love the beach here. The sand is smooth, and it is a public beach that offers restroom, and changing facilities. You can get a sandwich, soft drinks or cold beer there as well. . .(Oh yeah. .no charge for lounge chairs)

My final stop for the day would be Paradise point. When Mrs. Radio came to St to St Thomas on Oasis of the Seas in March, I was sad because We were told that when ships were in port, only the SkyRide can take you up to Paradise point, so we couldn't drive up. We have been driving up for years. I called them from Budget, and they said it was open for cars today. . . They usually have the SkyRide entry only when there are many ships in port. . .

I was going to get a Bushwacker, but he Power was out while I was there, and they said sorry. . . We are only serving cold beers or soda. It started to rain really hard, and I was talking to the SkyRide(gondola) operator, and he was telling me that the power goes out often in St Thomas, but the SkyRide always works due to a large generator that they use. Coming down the big hill was an experience, due to the downpour. . . But I made it down safely and returned my car to Budget.

I stopped in a few of the shops to get some gifts, and made it back on to the ship by 3PM. Here are a few pics from today. . . We just left the pier at 5:45PM, and we are headed to Samana, DR. We only have 256 nm to go, and we should be there by 8:30AM. Tenders will begin at 9AM.

Thanks for all of the nice comments, and thanks for tuning in !

Looks like you have all the comforts of home out on your balcony...coffee and I see we share the same track ball. It's much easier on the wrist.;):D Glad that you got in some sun today. Did you make it over to the Paradise Gate Cafe? That is one of my usual stops to check in with home, when we are in St. Thomas. However, now I only pay in cash. After our last visit, our credit card number was lifted and we had to clear up a lot of bogus charges.:mad: A word to the wise, be careful there! Can you please continue to let us know what the main show is each night and who the headliners are? Thanx.

Hi Radio,

I must say you are the highlight of my day when I get home!! :)

Do you ever go to Magens Bay? We have never gone to Coki and wanted to see if we should try that beach instead of Magens Bay. We are sailing on the Adventure in March - can't wait! Seeing all of these great cruise photos helps me get through the work week.

Hope you'll have sunnier skies!

I never made it to Paradise Gate. . . I would have had to skip one of my stops. . . I also wanted to go to the Butterfly Farm (right behind Paradise Gate)

Last night was a Comedy Juggler, and tonight is the Elton John tribute. . .

There is also a Tropical Deck party at 11 tonight. . .

Radio - glad you had a good day!

I read on CC that RCI stopped the Tropical Deck Parties in favor of a buffet of sorts on the Promenade on the last day of the cruise.....maybe there is still hope for my Freedom cruise this weekend?

Sorry, I didn't make it Magens Bay Beach. . . There is not enough hours in a day. That is Mrs Radio's favorite beach. I will save MB for her. . .
