Bringing drinks back from port stop?

Recommended Posts

We have taken water we have purchased in port, unopened bottles, onto the ship many times and have never had an issue.

On our last cruise (Oasis) they would not allow opened water bottles to be brought on. There were trash cans in the screening area to throw them in.

I have never done this or noticed it when i was cruising before so wondering if anyone knows this answer...Can you take filled water bottles off and on the cruise ship when you stop at different ports?

Filled with what? You can take anything off the ship but if you try to re board with a water bottle that is filled with booze, they will confiscate from you.

Part of it has to do with Customs and Immigration, not allowing open containers of food or drinks brought on board. It is a pain, and we go through the same thing at the airport too.

What does ICE have to do with what you bring onto the ship? RCI controls what you can, or cannot, bring onto the ship. ICE has a very big interest in what you take off of the ship.

Better yet, don't waste your money on bottled water.

Bring your own water bottle (plastic quart/liter jug) and fill it up at breakfast in the windjammer before you get off . /flame retardant/ (DO NOT put your dirty water bottle to the ice/water dispensers, simply pour new glasses of ice water into your jug.)

Carry said jug on and off the ship with no problems!
