Handicapped Final Payment

MY sister and her husband has the Promenade Handicapped room on voyager.

She is on the same cruise as we are.

our final payment is Feb 6th.

This is their first cruise, and she got a E-mail.

Telling her to pay it all today or loose it.

Is this right, do Handicapped people have a sooner final payment date?

Or did someone scam her?

Did you both book through RCI? If they booked through a TA .. some TA's require payment a little earlier to make sure payment gets credited to RCI by the final payment date. Better safe than sorry.

RCCL sent her an email??:confused: I have never gotten one............unless for some reason,maybe it does say hers is due now.....weird..

When I booked my last cruise thru the website, I had three different due dates. One date was on the paperwork, a different date was on the website under my cruises and a 3rd and different date thru an email. They were all a few days apart. I just paid on the earliest date.

Good point .. today is day 75 .. they are both due today. Better pay it today or lose it .. unless they are set-up to automatically pay. I do that with my TA don't know if RCI does that or not.

No RCCL will not automatically pay it.............better be safe than sorry and do like you say,pay it today!!:)

Just looked at our E-mailed copy of our invoice from when we booked the cruise.

Even that says Feb 6th????

I agree.they can extend it a day or two............but dont assume they will without calling..

Well I called, gave them info.

She told me that the final is due by Feb 6th, and not to worry.

So I guess I am just lucky, or whatever.

This is our second cruise, so it is not like we are Double Emerald or something.

So much for their stated policy:

 

Final payment of the balance must be received at Royal Caribbean's offices at least 60 days prior to the sailing date for 3, 4, or 5-night cruise vacations and 75 days prior to the sailing date for 7-night or longer cruise vacations. The payment schedule for groups is different from that of individuals. You will usually have access to your cruise documents 30 days prior to your sailing as long as your reservation is finalized.

 

For all holiday sailings, (Christmas and New Year's), payment is due 90 days prior to sailing.

It used to be 70 days and they moved it to 75 days not too long ago. hence the reason you see different dates.

bigeagle, when did you book your cruise?

 

If you booked it before they changed from 70 to 75 days, your recorded due date remains what it was when you booked.

 

If your relatives booked after that date, their due date is 75 days before sail date.

we booked in June,

I think she did not do it till October.
