Last year at this time we were on the Volendam at Christchurch and had a wonderful day there. The parks are so beautiful! Later in the year they had a terrible earthquake there. I sure hope the town has been rebuilt!

 

The city is still being repaired.

The local newspaper is featuring progress/lack of progress in different areas today and each day this coming week.

 

There have been thousands of aftershocks, some residents are very nervous.

its 9:22am in phoenix, 8:22am in san diego. looks like the oosterdam is just arriving at the pier which would make it a little over an hour late. i wonder why? this ship is usually on time unless weather causes a delay. oh well, it's a beautiful sight watching her dock!
