Best deck on Oasis?

I had cabin 12676 on the Oasis and loved the location. Just a little walk down the hallway to the open deck overlooking the Aqua Theater. Quiet, rarely anyone out there, it was a great place to lounge.

I have an oceanview balcony cabin on deck 8 booked for the Allure, I'm looking forward to being close to Central Park.

What do you want to be near.......dining, entertainment, pools, casino??? Book the one that is nearest your main interests, thereby being able to walk to them versus waiting on elevators. We have had cabins on decks 8 and 11 and each was great. Upcoming cruises are on 11 & 12. I personally don't like to be on the highest deck because of the possible noise from the joggers, WJ, chairs, pools etc. Nor to be in a cabin directly above a venue....like a bar, night club, casino etc.

Deck 6 - As close as you can get to the aft elevators.

The balconies have the best wave sounds.

A quick walk to the boardwalk for snacks

A guick walk down one flight of stairs to the Promenade for snacks

Elevators to the pool deck, the windjammer, and the MDRs

Do you want/need (adjoining) aka.connecting cabins ?

Yes, we need adjoining cabins.

I read on some other cruise info site that Deck 12 is where many of the highest price suites are located, therefore the best attendants arebalso stationed there... Interesting!

I like to be high up. I was on deck 10 on Oasis (the top deck on most ships, but right in the middle on Oasis), and thought it was great. For privacy, I wouldn't purposely choose a balcony cabin on deck 6 or 8 as the Boardwalk and Central Park are located, and they get A LOT of traffic. Decks 10, 11, and 12 are solid staterooms, and are much more quiet.

I have to respectfully disagree about Deck 8, Central Park, getting a lot of traffic.....especially in the cabin hallways. It was always so quiet. Central Park was always so peaceful and quiet too.....never a lot of people walking through. It is not hustle and bustle like the Promenade....and we had a balcony cabin right by the forward elevators. Never had to wait for an elevator on Deck 8......great, great location and we would definitely pick the same location on Oasis or Allure.

I think you're on a good deck - if not 7, go 6 or 8. For many, those decks are a staircase, as opposed to an elevator ride, from the Royal Promenade, Boardwalk, and Central Park.

In my experience on Oasis the only real deficiency with the design of the ship is the crowds at elevators - being on a deck where many of your trips throughout the ship can be done on stairs will help you avoid that.

(DW and I were on Deck 10 and enjoyed our cabin when we cruised Oasis, but if you have the choice, 6/7/8 will let you get around the ship much easier).

We just had three hump balcony cabins on Deck 8. I usually prefer to be up higher and closer to the pool area but decided to try Central Park. We all loved that deck. The only thing that I would change would be the location. We were closer to the forward end of the ship and found that most of the time we were headed aft (dining, boardwalk, flowrider, etc) so for our needs, next time I would still do Central Park but would be closer to the back of the ship --- very, very long hallways!! So remember to check out where you think you will spend most of your time.

Also, our three cabins did not adjoin but they opened up the doors on the balcony so we adjoined through the balcony. In the morning we would open our blinds to let the others know when we were awake --worked just fine not adjoining through the rooms.
