sportsmum Posted February 24, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2011 I did a search, but not a very good one..... Does anyone know the cost of Bingo now? If I remember correctly it was a lot less than on our last Celebrity cruise.
sansterre Posted February 24, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2011 I think Bingo went up last year. Seems like it was $30 on our last cruise. Wasn't it always $20 for a 3 pack or $10 for a single?
sportsmum Posted February 24, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted February 24, 2011 Thanks, that's about what I remember. It was horribly expensive to play on Celebrity but the last payoff was a good one!
jaspersmycat Posted February 24, 2011 #4 Share Posted February 24, 2011 On my Zaandam cruise in January they only sold the 3 card - 4 game bingo cards. They cost $25. They no longer have the big snowball winner at the end. The payoffs for each game was slightly larger and in the 4th game each day, if you bingoed in 46 numbers or less you won a special "jackpot". First day the special jackpot was $10,000 and, as long as no one won it, it increased $10,000 each day. Of course, it is rare for anyone to bingo in blackout bingo in 46 numbers or less (as HAL knows). The people who waited to only play until the last day were very upset to find out there was no "winner take all" snowball jackpot.
Belle Posted February 24, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 24, 2011 Do you remember the man who stood up for the $80.000 game on the 40th or 41st number, needed only ONE number after the 46th number, they called over 10 more numbers and he didn't even win the consolation prize, someone else did. He never came back! Did you win a bingo? Husband and I each won one. The small ones..better than nothing.
ariawoman Posted February 24, 2011 #6 Share Posted February 24, 2011 On the NA in October it was 25 for 3 games, and if you knew the special code from the day before, you got 1 extra board for the last game. My boyfriend one a few games, and it ended up covering all his incidentals/daily 11 dollar fee. Worked out well for him. Me, i was out 75 bucks LOL. Krazy Kruizers Posted February 24, 2011 #8 Share Posted February 24, 2011 on the nieuw amsterdam the cards cost $30 and there was,'t a snowball jackpot at the end -- cards were not selling well things can change any time
Rare kazu Posted February 24, 2011 #9 Share Posted February 24, 2011 On our N.A. cruise they were selling 3 for $25 or a single card for $10. They did a lot of 'secret phrases/words" so you could get an extra card at the next time. it's the only time I ever play bingo and for whatever reason, I like to do it on the ship :)
sportsmum Posted February 24, 2011 Author #10 Share Posted February 24, 2011 It's the only time we play too and have lots of fun. The boys win a lot ( I claim) and as much as we preach 'gambling doesn't pay'.....it has. Mom and Dad lose it just fine in the casino! Sorry to see the snowball go but glad the price isn't as high as Celebrity's.
GrammieK Posted February 24, 2011 #11 Share Posted February 24, 2011 They may not have snowball jackpot bingo anymore, but they do raffle off a cruise at the last bingo. We won it once and when our friends accompanied us on that cruise, they won it! I think it was 3 chances for 20? A good deal!
sportsmum Posted February 24, 2011 Author #12 Share Posted February 24, 2011 I've always been curious about those. I have entered those draws but wondered- When you redeem them what extra costs are there? Port charges? Taxes?
