What Month to cruise the Mediterranean April-June?

We are trying to plan a cruise sometime in 2012 and would like to cruise the Mediterranean. I don't want to go when it's to hot but I want it to be nice enough to enjoy the outdoors while sailing and touring the islands. We were looking at going at the end of April to June sometime, any advide? We would only be going to Spain, Italy and France. Thank You

We like the first couple of weeks in May. The weather is beautiful and the ports aren't overly crowded.

Thank you I was looking at the Epic in early May. It seems like NCL is the only cruise line that has dates out for that time of year so far.

Holland America has theirs out.

 

The only possible bad thing about going really early in the Med "season" is the selection of possible cruises and routes might be a little limited until later May.

May is our favourite month in the Med. The weather is lovely. Upper 70's during the day and not too oppressive during the night. Perfect.

 

April can be a showery month and June really hots up.

 

May is perfect.

I agree as long as you can find the itinerary you want. We have gone later in July or August and it is HOT and crowded.

We are also considering a Med cruise, thinking of March 2012? It sounds to me that this might be a bit early in the season weatherwise, don't want it to be cold and gloomy...any input??:)
