I have sailed Royal, Carnival, NCL and Princess - never been able to order a hot breakfast from room service on any of them.

My folks sailed Royal a few times last year and had hot breakfast in their rooms everyday.

I sort of assumed Carnival did the same but it wont kill me to walk my arse to the mdr to eat.

Phew...was worried I was gonna have to order several cups and drink it cold -- YUCK

Make sure you order your coffee condiments or you get nothing.

Milk, creams, your favorite sweetner etc etc.

Yep, several do as mentioned on this thread....RC, Princess.

Thank you. I learn something new every day. I could never do that. On top of me being clumsy (oh yeah I'd spill something all over the bed), I just can't see myself asking the wait staff to ignore my lack of ... er... night time attire. LOL

It was the getting breakfast in bed that made me laugh. Does any line serve breakfast in bed? :D

Ooooh YES :) As others mentioned, we've enjoyed a hot breakfast in bed on Royal Caribbean, and we're truly looking forward to the Ultimate Balcony Breakfast with our own waiter when we sail on Princess this fall! :D

Carnival delivers a lot for your money, but room service is not one of their strengths. Continental breakfast as well as cold items the rest of the day is all you get...:o

HUH? I just got off the Independance of the Seas and they use an RCI fleetwide menu, we were certainly able to get hot breakfast in the cabin- you fill ou the card, indicate how you want your eggs, what kind of meats, etc and they deliver at the time you note.

Did it arrive hot?

Absolutely! My only complaint was cultural...lol. I never really adjusted to the continental version of bacon (which is really like big slabs of ham.... they don't have our crispy strips of bacon) and was bummed the ship served the British version rather than the kind we prefer. :o

Did you try to order it or just assume they didnt have it like Carnival?? First person I have ever heard of who couldnt order a hot breakfast on RCL. odd that you couldnt.

it's been several years (8, I think?) since our one and only Royal cruise. We couldn't. We were very disappinted in RCL food as a whole, at midnight they had a stand in the promenade with little sandwiches, like sliders. We were starving and the guy made a face when I asked for 4 of them. I know that on NCL you got a different menu if you were upper class (VIP or in a suite).

you can get danishes or bagels or toast, but no hot food.

LOL Funny.. I think you missed April fools day by just a bit.

I think you did LOL :p. I am looking at the Breakfast Room Service Menu from Royal Caribbean's Voyage of the Seas (just did a B2B on it) and they have what is called "Country Breakfast"; Scrambled Eggs, Scrambled Egg Beaters; Bacon, Sausage and Hash Browns and Baked Tomato. Along with Juices and Beverages; orange, Apple Coffee, Decaffeinated Coffee, Tea, Herbal Tea, Milk and Fat-Free Milk.

Then they have the Classic Breakfast; Granola, Special K, Raisin Bran, Fruit Plate, and Yogurts. Followed by "From the Bakery"; Assorted Baked Pastires, Jams, Marmalade, Honey, etc.

I have NEVER seen a hot breakfast on the room service menu and I have been in suites.

Was on the Legend and saw no hot food items listed. Cereal, juice and coffee are some of the few items available.

I still don't understand why Carnival can't offer some hot choices to their breakfast menu - bacon, eggs, sausage, home fries, toast - it isn't rocket science.

Would be a nice alternative and really wouldn't cost the corporation much, if anything.

Because they can't even keep the breakfast buffet food hot:confused:

Carolin, correct me if I'm wrong but you did mean "Breakfast in Bed" meaning that they come into the room and serve you while you are in bed so that you never have to get up. Is that right? Cause I don't think that that happens. But I never asked :D

This must be devastating news to you! I'm sorry. Just remember you are a very special person and have many reasons to live.

Actually one of them is the bagel and lox that they deliver in the morning. I love it. It's far better than the creamed sausage.
