is there a preferable side of the ship for the liberty on the eastern caribbrean? when we were in the mediterrean, we lucked out and were on the side of the ship that had all the views as we pulled into the ports.

in venice it was amazing. it may not matter on this cruise.

Have done the eastern sailing (Most recently on Liberty March 19th) a few times and sailed on both (port & starboard sides) and aft (wake)...PREFER the portside middle hump (this last cruise needed 3 cabins together mid ship and could only get them on starboard side)...Either side will work well just depends on what you prefer to see...St Thomas starboard looked over dock area and right into "Senior Frogs" pool area, portside looked across the marina...St Maarten starboard looked directly into the side balconys of a cruiseship, portside looked across the bay into the town...Labadee starboard looked over the dock and the island (great view)....So choose the cabin you really want..and remember at the time of docking this could change since most ships can dock either side depending on if the captain or harbormaster decides due to conditions what would be best and pulls forward or decides to back in aft...Enjoy what ever you decide will be best for you...:)

It really doesn't matter...as you can never tell if the ship will pull in, or back in, or even, which slip at the dock it will use.

At some ports, we've been docked with a ship between our ship and the land....so you essentially are 10 feet away from the other ship's balconies...not very private at all!
