What's everyone's favorite thing to do on the ship during sea days? We have two on our next cruise. On Carnival I hate sea days because they can get REALLY boring, but RCI seems to have more options on the ship.

Rock climb on the wall, play mini golf, walk around the Royal Promenade. For people who have never been on a Voyager class ship before it is a great time to walk the decks and explore the ship.

Well, I hope the planner is useful. NOS was doing 5 night cruises in W Caribbean when we went, then she got sent over to Europe during the " giant European migration" last winter. Then oh, oh  seems demand for Europe was not quite what was expected, and back she came for the 6/8 Southern itinerary she's doing now.

When we booked Oasis last December, we were literally looking at Serenade out of PR, Oasis or one of the Freedom class out of PC. So we went with OA, never considered changing after booking, but we would have booked NOS again had she been available back in Dec

Great ship, you'll love her; I'm a little nervous about whether I will just love Oasis, or just be happy to sail her once.

Thank you so much for the links and taking the time to do the review as well as place the Planner here.

I am so excited and can just not seem to be able to read enough about the NOS.

I am just like you! Have you seen these yet?

Actually I thought the Navigator's Eastern Med route did well. It was my understanding the plan all along was to be in the Med for the late spring, summer and early fall and then the caribbean the rest of the time. She's doing the exact same Med itinerary next summer she did the past summer.

Out sailing last July was full. We LOVED the Navigator. We enjoyed it so much we have her sister ship the Mariner booked for another Med cruise next summer.

Out favorite things to do, besides just sit on the aft balcony, were the mini-golf, rock wall, go to the ice show (not to be missed), casino, just walk the decks enjoying everything. DD's loved Ben and Jerry's and the Promenade Cafe. I liked Vintages. We also liked the parade.

It's a wonderful ship with something to do for everyone.

Well, last December her itinerary had her in the Med till late Spring, because we would have booked a cruise on her in December if she had been in the Caribbean. Obvioulsy they decided to bring her back to the Caribbean, I remember at the time that the explanation (in the CC newsletter) was that many lines had overestimated the Europe demand and were repositioning.

Last time we went out on the helipad at night a ship's officer came down and told us that it was closed at night. Apparently the captain saw us walk out there on his night vision and sent someone to escort us off rather quickly.

I have never had a problem like that before. I guess it depends on who the captain is.

We'll be on the Nav in 6 weeks. I'll let you know if we have problems with the Helipad. It seems to me that if they don't want you out there at night there would be a sign saying something.

There actually is a gate after you go up the stairs from deck 4 to 5 or out of the forward lounge on deck 5 that they close when they want the bow of the ship closed off. There is also a chain that they put across the final set of stairs going up to the helipad when they want that closed off. So I am not quite sure what the issue was with the person that posted of the problem.

Sea Days are awesome on RCI cruises. The music, the entertainment, far best...... There are tons of things to do around the pool deck on sea days, especially if the weather is good. Also, go to the sessions about the ports, they are very informative. Many things to do, art shows, bingo, shopping, the casino.....or nothing at all. We did a 14 day Transatlantic and we were at sea for 7 days. At first I was nervous about it, then, I didnt' want to get off the ship. We had such a great time. There are many things to do, just depends on you.

enjoy!

Not sure what the problem was either. The gate was open so we went ahead out there. As the guy walked us back he closed the gate behind us. Maybe someone hadn't done their job like they were supposed to in the first place.

It is unfortunate that they could not just leave you in peace to enjoy the atmosphere. I always look forward to my evening visits out there.

Glad to see this thread! My husband and I will be on the navigator of the seas in May. I've been on the Explorer of the Seas twice and it seems like Navigator is very similar. It'll also be our first time in a Grand Suite. I remember last time my husband and I were on Explorer and I saw people walking around with gold cards and how there would be no seats left by the pool EXCEPT suite loungers... or an area only for suite guests to sit for the ice show, I thought "I want that!" lol and now we do. Figured this will be the last time we go on a big vacation for awhile (we're trying for kids) so go out with a bang, right?
