NCL Star Photowalk/Review (Jan 15-22)

Day 5 - Costa Maya - Thursday, January 19

 

 

Today we docked in Costa Maya. We were docked next to RCI: Jewel of the Seas

 

 

It can be a pretty long walk, but luckily there is a free tram available, but it is slower than walking IMO.

The tourist area was pretty big and had many shops. There was also a shallow pool in the center area.

 

 

We went with Shark Tours for an ATV excursion of the island. The cost of the tour was $80 per person, but we were able to negotiate it down to $60 per person. We tour guide took us about a 45 ride north of the dock. There wasn't really much to see besides a small down, but I really enjoy riding the ATV. We stopped by a private beach for 30min which included a free drink.

We were able to see two other cruise ship at the other dock. I think one is Carnival.

We were suppose to stopped by Downtown for 30min, but our group was not interested, so we just headed back to the ship

For dinner, we went to Ginza. I had the Springrolls, Hot and Sour Soup, Beef and Broccoli with Fried Rice and Banana Pancakes.

I love pictures. I was on The Spirit the week you were on The Star. A very good friend of mine is the Staff Captain on The Star. His Zelkjo Jurac. Did you get a chance to meet him or other members of the Bridge staff? Mandy
