Buffets

Recommended Posts

Does the buffet still close during the day, or is it open all the time noew

It closes for a short time after late afternoon to get ready for dinner service. I don't remember for sure but it might be around 4:30-5 PM that it shuts down until 6:30. It then closes at 9 PM until breakfast.

You can always go in to get drinks...even when no food is avail....although, we've found they keep cookies, desserts, fruit, out all the time.

We've had a lunch BBQ on the pool deck on almost every cruise on one of the sea days.

No, they actually close the doors when they are preparing for dinner. You cannot go in.

Agreed. Doors are also closed when there's no food service after they finish serving at night (usually 9 pm)

Most ships DO have a buffet one night of the cruise....typically called "Dancing Under the Stars" pool party/evening buffet. It's only one night of the cruise, and not nightly. Oasis/Allure do not have one, to my recollection. But most other ships do....we just sailed on the Jewel back to back on 5-night cruises, and we had one during each 5-day sailing.
