New to Alaska cruising

I would also suggest you just post your questions on this board, since many of us are already answering and it would have the advantage of being available for the entire Alaska board.

The Roll Calls are for specific questions about that sailing. General questions should be asked here, as it's impossible for the experts to answer the same question over and over again on every Roll Call.

If you want to see whales, Auke Bay in Juneau is one of the best places for that. We did the ship excursion (with Allen Marine) but there are some independent tour companies that are highly recommended on this board - Harv & Marv and Orca Enterprises to name a couple. A lot of people combine one of these tours with Mendenhall Glacier. Happy planning:)
