TorontoTL Posted March 26, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 26, 2012 This was just posted on Princess' Facebook page and shows the Piazza under construction when standing on deck 5.
Astro Flyer Posted March 26, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 26, 2012 TorontoTL...thanks for sharing that photo. :) I don't use FB & previously Princess told me I could see the same thing by using Flickr. However they only have the CG photos of what the ship will look like when completed & nothing for the construction's progress. :(
TorontoTL Posted March 27, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted March 27, 2012 You're welcome, I figured there are some people who aren't on FB so might like to see the photo of the under construction new Royal.
onthewater51 Posted March 27, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 27, 2012 Thanks for posting. I just stumbled upon their video yesterday of this new ship. The piazza looks like its going to be beautiful, elegant yet cozy.
Rare PescadoAmarillo Posted March 27, 2012 #5 Share Posted March 27, 2012 Wow, they sure do pretty-them-up before we sail on them, don't they? I find these kinds of photos fascinating; thanks for sharing!

TorontoTL Posted March 27, 2012 Author #7 Share Posted March 27, 2012 Yes they do pretty them up quite a bit before we get to sail, thankfully. From the photo the atrium does look to be quite a bit larger than on the Grand class ships now. I really look forward to seeing this ship completed. Astro Flyer Posted March 27, 2012 #8 Share Posted March 27, 2012 They'll probably get around to posting the pics on Flickr eventually... I don't know what the incentive is for so many businesses to force people to go to Facebook to access things. I have too many security concerns about Facebook to join it to get access to any businesses info...including Princess. :(. Princess told me that I can get access to the same pictures that are on Facebook on Flickr. That has not been true & I have to wait to see if they will eventually post them on Flickr. Apparently they don't care to keep non-Facebook customers as up-to-date as those who are on Facebook. :(

LOL:eek: It's the same thing with us...DW uses FB & whenever I read about a hole in FB security I let her & my kids know about it but they seem to think it only happens to others. ;)
billco Posted March 29, 2012 #12 Share Posted March 29, 2012 Just about everybody in my family has used Facebook for years. We have found it a great way to keep in touch and keep track of what everybody is doing. I don't recall anybody ever mentioning a problem with security. RickEk Posted March 29, 2012 #13 Share Posted March 29, 2012 Oh, there's security problems with Facebook. Most of them have to do with Facebook adding a feature and then opting people into those features... If you have your account locked down, then it mostly isn't a problem. If you leave your account wide open, then anyone can see into your life... check this link... http://www.net-security.org/secworld.php?id=11689 or this one... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_Facebook

Recently there was a news story showing how easy it was to hack a FB account & to take it over by using an inexpensive App & anyone using an unprotected WiFi spot. Yeah, that can be prevented also... Facebook allows you to use their service with https: encrypted browsing (the same thing that you'd use with a bank or financial service). That effectively blocks the attack that you reference. 'Course, you have to know enough to change the settings and enable it!

'Course, you have to know enough to change the settings and enable it! That's what they said in the story & that FB was more concerned about crashing their system than customer security by changing the default setting to an unsecured 'http' connection. Unless someone was aware of the change, they were no longer secure...FB choose preventing their system from crashing over security for their members...not a company for me.
