How many times have you chosen the same ship?

I am curious to know how many times you've sailed the same ship and why?

We just sailed on the Dream, and we really liked that ship. I am already browsing cruises on it for next year different itinerary. Would you choose the same ship again or choose something different for a change?

I sailed last year on the Valor, a very nice ship, picked a cruise for this year by the itinerary and guess what..... I'll be sailing the Valor again!

I really wanted to try a different ship, but going to Antigua & Tortola were more important!

Have fun planning! :)

We've sailed 3 different ships each 3 times. Why? Price, port location, itinerary. But mostly proximity of port location to us.

It's kind of nice being on the same ship...feels like you are coming "home." You also have all the quirks figured out already and don't waste time wandering in the wrong direction.

Having said that, I also LOVE being on a new ship and exploring.

6 of one, 1/2 dozen of the other...

We chose the Triumph in 2003 and 2004. Repeated because of price and price only. Great second cruise, but boring at the same time because the shows were the same.

We went on her again in 2009 - to Canada this time. Was a new and different experience.. like visiting an old friend.

We are sailing on the Liberty for the second time this November.. first since 2008. She will feel like a new ship, however, because of the 2.0 upgrades!

For me - price and itinerary are more important. If those were even between two ships, I'd pick the one I had not cruised on yet. Guess I've been lucky per my way of thinking - only once have we duplicated a ship without it being a b2b.

Conquest 3times. First time cause for the itinerary; 2nd time because it was my first cruise with my mom who lives in Dallas and conquest left out of Galveston which made driving down easy. Third time this November because it moved back to new Orleans and its a quick (by Amtrak standards) one day rail trip from my home in Chicago-I didn't want to fly over thanksgiving

Sailed the Victory x 3. the first 2 times was for the itineary, each time a little different. We are sailing on the Victory again in Jan. with my brother and his wife. They have not been on this cruise, I loved It, so why not? I have never been on a ship I did not enjoy, I usually pick where I want to go, that dictates the ship I take.

Happy sailing

I pick my cruises mainly for the itinerary and not the ship. I've been on Destiny 3 times, Victory 3 times and on May 6th I'll be on Legend for the second time. It doesn't bother me to go on the same ship more than once or do the itinerary more than once. I'd cruise any of the other ships I've been on again if the itinerary, dates and cabin I wanted were available.

Will be going on the Pride for the 2nd time this summer. Last summer it was our first cruise ever. We were originally supposed to go with our daughter, she was actually the one who wanted to cruise, i was going just to keep her happy.

I would have prefered doing an AI or going back to Italy. Anyway wouldn/t u know it, she had to cancel about 2 and a half months before the cruise date!

So my wife and i ,went anyway, and had a blast! Got hooked on cruising! So we are going again and this time my daughter will be coming along!

We drove from montreal, took about 10 hours easy peasy, loved baltimore and the inner harbor' and LOVED the Pride!:)

Fantasy we have cruised on the Fantasy 9 times since Sept,2010. I know people will say why so many times on the oldest Carnival ship in the fleet, and Charleston SC to the Bahamas? Well here are some of the reasons, cost, distance from home to port is appox. three hours drive, friendy staff and crew. My wife does well in the casino most of the time but not always. I love to listen to the cover bands that have been on board. In just the last 18 months we have listened to Music Highlights, Music Boardwalk, and Music Degree. All three bands were outstanding. Started cruising spring of 2004 and have thirty past and four booked now. Two of the next four are on Fantasy. We aren't crazy about the bahamas but do like HMC and Grand Turk. The Fantasy sails 5/6/& 7 day cruises. Since I am retired now I can enjoy it even more. Pink:eek:

4x Victory - all Canada

4x Glory (as of August) - 3 Canada, 1 Eastern Caribbean

2x Conquest - 1 out of NOLA, 1 out of Galveston

2x Pride (as of July)

Why? Canada cruises out of NYC are easy for us, as are cruises out of Baltimore. As for Conquest - we love her and love her Western itinerary.

We've cruised on the Sensation 3 time so far and another booked for October of this year. The 1st time was our 25th wedding anniversary. We came back and raved so much about the fun we had that family members wanted to go and wanted us to go with them. We've been on the Inspiration once.

Pride: twice. Itinerary and we loved the ship

Glory: twice. Second sailing was because they cancelled our cruise on the Miracle to send her to dry dock; we were not disappointed!

Miracle: three times. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this ship!

Freedom: will be twice as of our July sailing

I know how easy it is to get hooked on cruising! ;) Wow you drove from Montreal, thats awesome. We should drive to Baltimore from here its only an 8 hour drive. Save all that money on air-fare too.

We just completed our 31st with Carnival, having done the Triumph and Holiday 7 times each. But we sailed Commodores "The Enchanted Isle" out of New Orleans over 25 times. We hate flying so we drive to New Orleans, Mobile mostly, but also drove to Miami several times as well.
