An attempt to try and categorize just what it might be that "Cruise Critics" Love about cruising on Princess or just cruising in general. I expect I've left out some significant items, but comments (no flames please) are always welcome.

Please select the category that BEST describes what you love about cruising.

I love to cruise with Princess. A vacation with Princess is a wonderful escape from the real world. I have to concur with the above posters and say all of the above and more. For me, Princess hits the right combination of affordability, quality and luxury.

Having just booked a Princess cruise (May 27, 2006) on Caribbean Princess, I have been "cruising" the Princess board as well. I'm glad to see that all those wonderful things are available on Princess.

It is lovely luxury and pampering and it is effortless. All you have to do is to show up and you are fed, entertained and waited upon hand and foot. And you get an opportunity to meet lovely people.

Best of all, it can cost less than a land vacation and have a lot less hassle.

I have yet to be bored on a ship. There is always something happening - a trivia game, the opportunity to have the time to play a game of Scrabble or a rubber of bridge (I'm not good at bridge).

And I can sit and be calmed on my balcony by the wonderful ocean (when it is calm) and feel a sense of peace I feel nowhere else.

I'm hooked. We have 4 vacations coming up. 3 are cruises.

exceptional, diverse itineraries that are affordable--even categories above the base level--for many folks who are not wealthy. A chance to explore the world at a reasonable cost is much more than other lines can/choose to offer.

Gee Whiz, Rumbline (you spell it wrong by the way - s/b Rhumbline)

If you really just wanted people to ONLY pick their very top, all-time favorite reason, above any and all the other reasons, why someone Loves Crusing on PRINCESS (this is a line exclusive poll by the way), then why, oh why, didn't you say that?

We all know that if you had a category of "All of the Above" in such a poll, there'd be absolutely no point to even having this poll!

So, Rumbline... If you ever do this again (please don't take this in any way as an invitation for a repeat!)... Say exactly what you mean, not some nebulous "Best Category" thing as if all of the above wasn't possible.

Anyway, Just be happy that some people did exactly that... Made their top pick. And, don't blame the "all of the above" crowd for not getting it. In a way they did.

It really brings the price of a European vacation back down to dollars and sense. We love the convience and ease of ship travel for Europe. No running for trains and hauling luggage. No trying to find a restaurant when you are tired for touring all day. It is the life! Now all we have to do is wait until September.

If you have tried an overseas Princess trip you have lived!
