caribill Posted June 10, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 10, 2012 The best way to find out if this is legit is to call 1-800-PRINCESS and ask to be connected to this person.
mamaiscruzin Posted June 10, 2012 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2012 I have a wonderful Princess Cruise Vacation Planner and her number is the same except for the 5 digit ext #. She did not e-mail me but was referred by a friend of mine. I see you cruised in May maybe this is like a follow up.
1025cruise Posted June 10, 2012 #4 Share Posted June 10, 2012 I fail to see the unprofessionalism in the email. Looks like a standard introduction email to me.
deedeetoo Posted June 10, 2012 #5 Share Posted June 10, 2012 I also think this is a reasonable e-mail. What is unprofessional about it? E-mails don't normally have letterhead.
tothemall&beyond Posted June 10, 2012 #6 Share Posted June 10, 2012 The email seems perfectly fine to me. Nothing unprofessional and very friendly. The phone number and email address are legit for that dept. Same as my CVP's.
Rare TracieABD Posted June 10, 2012 #7 Share Posted June 10, 2012 Call and check it out... I have never received one of these from Princess, but have received similar letters of introductions from HAL reps. There is only a small HAL logo on the email. Did you just take your first Princess cruise? Did you book directly with Princess instead of a TA? I would say that one or even both of my questions will end with a yes. Matcodixon Posted June 10, 2012 #9 Share Posted June 10, 2012 I am familiar with this service that they provide to those that book directly and do not use a TA. It is designed to provide more personal service and also give you a specific contact person at Princess to work with if necessary. Since they do not have to pay TA commission, they use the money to provide their own "in house" TA. It is not a bad program at all.
Sox Fan Cruiser Posted June 10, 2012 #10 Share Posted June 10, 2012 Rafe plans each and every cruise that I take with Princess. The letter was extremely professional. I too wasn't sure it was legit because I had not heard of this service. One post to cruise critic and it was confirmed for me. No big deal. Rafe is amazing. Period.
