babywewe Posted July 2, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 2, 2012 I was just reading the thread about how much money to take and I was wondering if the ship has a way to take out money from your CC. I ask because NCL will charge your CC at the casino so the you can get money. does HAL have something similar ?

From www.hollandamerica.com Cash Advance Cash advances are available at the Front Office. All cash advances are subject to restrictions. A 3% service fee will be added to your onboard account for all cash advances. Bob

Once you have loaded it up, you can cash out at the casino and get cash. No fees. btw - we usually have obc so we are basically drawing on a credit balance. Of course this only works when the Casino is open, so be sure to anticipate your needs if you decide to go this route.

I know that is the case if you draw from your account at a black jack table. I really know nothing about slots, though.

You would have to convert them to US currency, then apply that to your account (if that's what you still wanted to do). The ship operates on US currency. If you draw money from your account at any of the gaming tables the amount is subject to the 3% fee. Any money drawn from your account from a slot machine does not carry the 3% fee.
