M&M Hayden Posted July 24, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2012 I know RCL/Celebrity used to 'throw in" a hotel room if you were sailing on different ships that had a day between sailings (first sailing ended Saturday, next one left on Sunday, same or close port). It was arranged thru the Consecutive Cruise desk. Does anyone know if they do that between the two lines? We're looking at sailing LEGEND OF THE SEAS, which would arrive back in Port Everglades on a Friday and then sail out on a Saturday on CELEBRITY REFLECTION out of Miami. We've only done consecutive cruises on the same ship. Thanks
xxoocruiser Posted July 24, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2012 Wouldn't it be easier to just call RCCL or Celebrity than relying on someone from CC ?

ChipLondon Posted July 24, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 24, 2012 I do not think they still do that even if sailing with the same line.
Cigar King Posted July 24, 2012 #5 Share Posted July 24, 2012 We asked about this while booking a couple cruises in March, and we were told they do. FWIW, we booked two ships but there is not a break between the two sailings. Call RCI, and you should be able to get the straight dope.
skandls Posted July 24, 2012 #6 Share Posted July 24, 2012 We did the Oasis - Solstice and paid for our own hotel. Because it was two cruise lines (even if they are related) it was not considered to be a consecutive cruise.
LABCHICK Posted July 24, 2012 #7 Share Posted July 24, 2012 I do not think they still do that even if sailing with the same line. We sailed on Majesty and had 1 day in between then boarded the Oasis. This was in Dec. 2011. Royal paid for us to stay at the Hilton Marina in Fort Lauderdale. We had to pay for our own transportation from Miami to Fort Lauderdale. Daghis Posted July 24, 2012 #8 Share Posted July 24, 2012 I do not think they still do that even if sailing with the same line. I have a complimentary B2B hotel booked by Royal Caribbean for the time between my upcoming Freedom of the Seas cruise followed the day after by the Monarch of the Seas. Just curious, what hotel does Royal use down there?
M&M Hayden Posted July 24, 2012 Author #10 Share Posted July 24, 2012 Thanks I know they do it (did it) when sailing exclusively on RCCL, just wasn't sure if they would do it sailing between the two sister lines.
Daghis Posted July 24, 2012 #11 Share Posted July 24, 2012 Just curious, what hotel does Royal use down there? They set us up at the Doubletree Hilton Orlando Airport. Yeah, it's not as convenient as staying somewhere in the Cocoa Beach area, but I guess they've already got the transportation going to/from the airport, so that makes sense. I did ask whether they had any other hotel options available, and I was told that this was the only one.

Thanks for the info. Bob
