Priority Boarding - Aqua class

Does anyone know if there is such a thing?

We are on Eclipse leaving from Southampton shortly and were wondering whether there are seperate queues or just one long one?

The general 'check in' time seems to be about 11.00 so I imagine it gets quite busy .

Any tips or thoughts greatly appreciated.

There is a separate line for AQ Class. However, there are also special lines for Concierge, Suites and Captain's Club so many will have "priority boarding". The term is almost meaningless. Boarding usually starts by 11:15am-11:30am. cabins usually available after 1:00pm. Enjoy your cruise.

Last October we did a TA out of Southampton. When we got to the terminal to go thru security, they had 2 lines, with two metal detectors/x-ray machines for each line. One line for steerage pax (I use that term tongue in cheek :D), and one line for all us special folks (AQ, Elite, Suites, etc).

The first line went so much faster because they were sending folks thru their 2 screening stations and also sending folks down to one of the "special folks" screening stations. So, the large line for all the "special folks" only had one screening station. Actually, it was pretty funny. :D

Once you go thru security, they have a large number of check in stations. They never check your status, in my experience, so I just go to the shortest line.

When I boarded in Seattle for my Alaskan cruise there was only one security line for everyone.

One line to get in the terminal? Or one line to check in and get your

seapass card?:confused:....I have sailed from Seattle at least 3 times

and the lines for check in? They always have at least a dozen

CSR's......

When we were there in September, there were many check in lines, but only one line for Security (x-ray).

Oh ok...thanks for the explanation. I think there are usually 2 of them.

So there was only 1? That might delay things a bit.
