renroc13 Posted September 11, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 11, 2012 We will be ending a BtoB cruise in HK on Dec 23 and fly out Dec 24th. We will be staying at an airport hotel the night of the 23rd. I am debating between taking a ship tour on the 23rd that drops us off at the A/P and then the hotel shuttle to the hotel. Or Taking a taxi to the hotel and just spend the day on our own. I know several have mentioned about pre checking luggage in before the flights at certain places. If we dock Monday and have a flight Tuesday morning are we able to do this? If not are there any luggage storage places at the airport? Thank You, Karen
paul929207 Posted September 11, 2012 #2 Share Posted September 11, 2012 Which airline? In most cases, the counter is only open from about 3 hours before takeoff until check in is completed.
Emdee Posted September 11, 2012 #3 Share Posted September 11, 2012 In hk the airport express can take luggage for some airlines up to 24 hours in advance. It depends on your airline and destination.

Emdee Posted September 12, 2012 #6 Share Posted September 12, 2012 renroc13, As per my previous comment about checking your luggage in up to 24 hours in advance, please see the links from the hong kong airport express site: http://www.mtr.com.hk/eng/getting_around/complom_checkin.html http://www.mtr.com.hk/chi/getting_around/images/itci.pdf I have never checked in 24 hours in advance but have checked in 8 hours in advance at the Kowloon station which is the closest station to the ship dock. Rare Keith1010 Posted September 12, 2012 #7 Share Posted September 12, 2012 Check with your airline. We did exactly what you mentioned. We went to the airport and stayed at the hotel in the airport. Our airline allowed us to check in our luggage the day before (Cathay Pacific). So best to check with the airline. Keith
