Slightly OT, but has anyone had luck combining two coupons in one cabin to get an hour of Internet? How did you manage that? We will have 4 coupons and 2 cabins and I'm hoping to get an hour for each cabin. We've never done Internet on a Royal ship, but with ill, elderly parents at home, we need to check in at least every day for news. I figure it will take nearly 15 minutes to connect and download, then connect and upload a message, so we could check daily (4 times in one cabin and 3 in the other) We will see if it works!

TIA for any info!

You need to have internet charges on your account, then go to guest services and hand them your coupons. If the passengers in each cabin are sharing the same account, they'll credit your charges up to the coupon value (and you can tell them you want to sign on with just one card). If the 4 passengers each have a different accounts, you'll need to log on with the individual Set Sail cards and have GS credit each account. At least that's the way it's worked when we've cruised.

Hope there are no emergencies while you're on your cruise!

Slight explanation:

The coupons for FREE minutes must be submitted and applied before you can use them.

The coupons for discounted packages can be submitted after you have purchased the package.

A bit of topic but what brand of whiskey do they serve in the diamond lounge?

The Explorer doesn't have a Diamond Lounge, it has a Diamond Event in one of the lounges. It is usually held in the 19th Hole. Wine, sparkling wine and soda are served for free. All other beverages are discounted 25%.

As far as the free internet minutes in the Diamond book......we take our coupons to guest relations and tell them that we want them to be combined for one person to use.

Policy must have changed since I used it last. I tried to submit the coupons right away and was told that I need to have internet charges on my account before they could apply them.

Used mine last week on allure and it clearly stated it needed to be applied before any charges occurred. You do, however, have to set up your account first.

I sailed on October 15 on Grandeur. Took the two filled out coupons to guest relations and requested they be combined. Went to the computer center and used my sea pass to create an account. When the account came up, the credit was there for 60 minutes.

Never needed any more than the 60 minutes to check email and Google Voice for any messages coming to home phone that were forwarded via DH's cell phone for the 11 day cruise. I believe there were even some free minutes left in the account.

I think that's the latest...I'm sure if it's not someone else will update. Have a great cruise.

Those are correct. We just got off the Oasis last month. They aren't as good as they used to be! You used to get BOGO cover charge to Johnny Rockets, now just milkshakes...

Joe<--------Fighting to get to Diamond Plus! :D

We just returned from a Celebrity cruise where my husband and I each got 90 free minutes. I'm sure it works the same way. You register each seapass card as you need it. I think each card has to have its own user name but password can be the same. They'll tell you on board. When I used up all the minutes on mine, I just entered my husband's user name and password. It never took 15 minutes to connect and download. At the most maybe 4 minutes. What I did was to immediately delete all the junk mail because to download all of it is a waste of time. Then the emails I wanted could download faster. As soon as they were all downloaded I logged out to read them off line. I wrote all the emails off line and hit send. They were just saved in an outbox. When I logged on, they went off and the rest of the email downloaded. BTW if you have AT&T you can buy an international text message package very cheap and you don't have to be on line for that. Used to buy that when my Mom was still alive.

I'm wondering why you resurrected a six month old thread and then answered with information from X?
