2055 Posted November 3, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2012 I am new to cruising and this may be a naive question. If a ship is going from, say, Barcelona via Nice, Rome, Naples and Corfu then back to Barcelona, is it possible to join the cruise at, say, Nice for the remainder of the trip? (Assuming there are of course vacancies on board).
CruiserBruce Posted November 3, 2012 #2 Share Posted November 3, 2012 Not if it is not pre-arranged. Check with the cruise line involved. They will be the determining factor.
Rare Keith1010 Posted November 3, 2012 #3 Share Posted November 3, 2012 As CruiserBruce noted you would need to check with the cruise line. You would still likely pay the full price of the cruise. Keith
Alex71 Posted November 3, 2012 #4 Share Posted November 3, 2012 Some lines such as MSC and Costa let passengers embark at almost every port whereas on most other others lines it will be much more difficult.

Krazy Kruizers Posted November 3, 2012 #6 Share Posted November 3, 2012 Yes -- it can be done in most cases. But you need to make all the arrangements months before you can get on the ship -- and you may have to pre-pay certain fees for this special "cruise". Then you need to get everything in writing!!! On a couple of our Med cruises we met some people who did this and they said that it was not worth the extra fees only to end up in a cabin not to their liking. JMO -- I would not do this.
