Stuff you haven't tried on a cruise...

I wanted to:

order room service

have afternoon tea

ride the slide

have something to eat late at night on the Lido deck

use the spa pass

use the spa

Chef's Table

Behind the Fun tour

Steakhouse

comedian show

swim with the dolphins

So far I have done most of them. I have afternoon tea, and the comedian show left to do. I thought I would get those one's done this last cruise but didn't happen.

I did ride the slide this last cruise (I am 56) and it scared the crap out of me. Glad I did it but don't have to do it again. Also, the next person was sent down before I was out of the area and I got hit full on by the lady that came down next. That wasn't fun and I spent the last day in the medical centre. Thank goodness I didn't have to pay for it though.

It's all my wife's fault. Another thing I haven't tried is with the kids in the next balcony cabin I can't join the Balcony Club, Wink,wink.[/QUOT

send them on a wild goose chase - or, tell them you want to join the balcony club - they will go ewwww and disappear - voila, you have a window. Just make sure to shut out the lights - inside and out

Things I haven't done but plan to try on upcoming cruises:

Behind the Scenes Tour

Chef's Table

Ropes Course

Slide

lunch in the MDR

mini golf

We sail on the Breeze this Saturday and I definitely plan on crossing a few of these off the To Do list.

Have never done a waterslide on a ship. May have to give it a whirl next week on the Dream. Unless the line is too darn long. lol

Do the waterslide first, then do the Drain Pipe. If you do it the other way around, the waterslide is a dud. Of course, when we did it, we kept going from one to the other. By the way, I'm 64 an enjoyed every minute of it except for the climbing to get up there. :o

There are a ton of things that I haven't done on a cruise but that's because I didn't want to do them: MDR for breakfast or lunch, room service, bingo, speciality coffee, pizza, basketball, karaoke, Behind the Scenes, Spa (I don't even like touching my own fat let alone having somebody else touch it.) on and on and on. Tried Steak house-didn't like it. Tried golf-ball gets close to hole and ship sways leaving your ball rolling in other direction. I can't think of a thing that I haven't done that I would want to do.

On my last cruise I tried sushi and frog legs for the first time. Love sushi and hated frog legs. On my next cruise I want to try the steakhouse and ziplining. If time permits I would like to do the behind the scenes tour. The spa I would never do because their prices are high compared to land based spas and I would feel uncomfortable getting a massage from a total stranger. I have done karaoke, so it isn't necessary to punish people with my singing voice again.

I've never been to the piano bar but I think my wife and I will try it out on our Splendor cruise in May.

Speaking of karaoke...One of my most nerve racking yet thrilling experiences was performing as Frank Sinatra in front of nearly 1000 guests during the Legends show on one of our Miracle cruises.

Things I haven't done and Want to do:

* karaoke - I like to sing .. That doesn't make me good at it, I guess I'm afraid of people running away with bleeding ears

* trying new food - I normally stick to what I know best although last cruise I did try shark and I enjoyed it quite a bit

* not caring about dancing in public - around my friends and family I don't care I only become self conscious infront of people I don't know it's a lack of confidence thing I guess

Another weird thing I'm on the larger Side and so for once I would love to queue up in the lido buffet line and not care what I get .. I don't know why but I always feel self conscious

These things I doubt I will do haha because I always loose my nerve I would much rather cheer and encourage others on :) just the way I am I guess

At 60 I almost hate to admit it but I have nothing left to do - I have been there and done almost everything I can think of. My husband and I never hit the sheets until at least 1:30 - 2 AM any given evening. We always go to the late night comedian - then for a drink - then maybe the casino and then up to the 11th deck for a dance in the moonlight (he hums as he can't sing worth a hoot) and then beddy bye to start all over again the next day. Oh, the one thing I do want to try is zip lining - I will look into this one in February. I will continue to order room service - love the idea of ordering a pot of coffee for first thing in the AM and their BLTs are great. There are some things I won't do and one is Karaoke as I sing even worse than my husband. I figure I will try ALMOST anything at least once as long as it doesn't kill me, although I have had my life flash before my eyes on more than one occasion.

Fantastic :) post!

I would like to wake up really early, put towels, sandals and books on all the loungers at the lido pool!!! ;) Sorry, could not resist!!!

Nah, really I would like to get into the learn to dance activities onboard. The wifey got me onstage during a group dance seminar on the Dream last month, it was pretty fun.

I always seem to miss the martini tasting... Wanna try this also.

I would really LOVE TO WIN IN THE CASINO!!!!! :D

but think you might want to?

I'm thinking of trying some different things on my next cruise. I always tell myself I'm going to do the following but never do.

Karaoke- I sit and listen and sing along but I've never got up there and did a song.

Mini Golf- don't know why I haven't.

Spa- I've always wanted to book a spa treatment. Usually its the price that keeps me from doing so. Yeah I have the money but it's the principal on the price. I want to get a scalp massage those things feel AMAZING.

Water Slide- I haven't done so because I think I would look silly being a 32 year old woman going down a water slide.. lol.

and finally I tell myself I'm going to try a new drink but I end up going with my good ol' favorite onboard... KISS ON THE LIPS.

So what about the rest of you?

I am 50 yrs old and more than pleasantly fluffy and I go down the slide at least a couple of times on each cruise! It's fun.....you should do it! :p

It is - believe it or not we have been married 32 years and we still do it every cruise - he just brought me a bouquet of tulips the other day BECAUSE - no reason, no special occasion, nothing to apologize for - just BECAUSE. I wish everyone had such a person in their life - every day is special BECAUSE

Did Tea time on last cruise with my 26 yr old son. We had a blast and will do it again.

Always go down the slide (I'm 53)and have fun talking with all ages of people as we wait our turn.

In February we will be doing the steakhouse for the first time - did do the cooking demo a couple of cruises ago and volunteered to do the dessert demo.

One goal is to get something to eat from every food establishment on board.

I guess one new goal would be to get a drink from every bar, but that would be a job in its own right

This last cruise, my wife and I joined in on the Super trivia and Scategories games. We had a lot of fun.

I have won the individual general trivia twice now. But, this time we got more involved as team members...it's a good way to meet and talk to people.

I'm more of an extrovert on cruises than she is...while she will talk to a lamp post, she doesn't want to be a focal point. So, she would never do anything that requires her to be on stage.

I almost did the spa this cruise. Wife always takes advantage and gets some sort of treatment. I was going to do a hot shave this trip. But, at $45 I just couldn't bring myself. Not that $45 is a lot of money...but for a shave? I have a pretty heavy beard and would need another one in a few hours! My wife said I should have just to experience it...I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Probably why I don't frequent the casino either!

I never knew they ha scattegories! I love that game! Might try that one this cruise :)

I finally did the waterslide on the Ecstasy! First time in 7 cruises! I waited to do it in Freeport when everyone was off the ship and no one was around. :-)
