Welvtocruise Posted December 3, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2012 We are staying at the Hilton FLL Marina the night prior to our cruise. Now that one is allowed to bring wine on board for a cruise, does anyone know if there is a place to purchase wine near this hotel. We are flying in and can't carry wine bottles in our check-in luggage.
JohninDC Posted December 3, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2012 You'll have better luck posting this quesiton on the Florida departure board: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=495 Publix supermarkets in FLA have a reasonably good selection of wine and have several locations in Fort Lauderdale. I think your hotel is close enough to Total Wine -- they have about 10,000+ bottles in inventory and you can even pre-order on line and have your selections waiting for you at the customer service desk. Good luck! :)

KeywestK Posted December 3, 2012 #4 Share Posted December 3, 2012 LOL, this is a popular question. I posted this same answer a few weeks ago, but happy to do it again. This is near the port, and they have a great selection of wines. kruzerci Posted December 3, 2012 #5 Share Posted December 3, 2012 Another vote for Total Wine. I wish we had one near us, huge place and great prices.
Clarea Posted December 3, 2012 #6 Share Posted December 3, 2012 We used Total Wine 2 weeks ago for Liberty. Worked out great. You can place your order and pay on the web, and if you do this 24 hours in advance, your order will be ready when you walk in. I just showed them the confirmation email, they gave me the wine, and walked out in just a couple of minutes.
ctcruiser1721 Posted December 3, 2012 #7 Share Posted December 3, 2012 I also recommend Total Wine. Just went there for the first time for the Liberty sailing I departed today. Great selection and convenient location.
