Sodas

How much is a soda on board the ship and would it be worth it to buy a package.thanks

$2.50-ish with gratuity.

Depends on how much soda you drink.

If the ship you will be on has the Freestyle machine, the soda card may be worth more to you.

I bought the soda pacakge for the first time ever on the Allure because they had the soda package, I was able to get my Coke Zero products. I wouldn't bother on a ship that did not have the Freestyle machine, as I probably would just not drink the soda

If one person in the cabin buys the soda package, do the other people in the cabin also need to buy it?

Beth

Because I wasn't sure what you were asking--you aren't required to purchase the package just become some of your party is buying it. BUT you are not supposed to share the package.

3 Sodas a day is the break even point, plus you can have club soda or other mixers if you like to change up a bit. You also get a pretty cool cup to take home if you get the package. If you prepay the soda package it will have a Coke logo right on your setsale pass but if you buy it onboard they will place a sticker which may come off and that means a trip to the service desk for a new sticker. One last thing the package is only available to buy on the first day of the cruise.

What other beverage can you have ...other than coke

the 'soda package' includes anything that comes out of the standard 'soda gun' at the bars, or the FreeStyle machines on the ships that have them

For most ships this means Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Club Soda, Tonic

FreeStyle ships .... many more choices AT the machines

We've occasionally met a nice bartender who would make dd a Shirley Temple under the soda pass .... a nice touch, not all would do it, and I was always anticipating paying extra. dd turns 21 soon so probably a concern no longer!

p.s. I've bought the soda package after the first day (dw changed her mind) - they just prorate it. Go to the service desk . . . I've also bought the wine package after they stopped selling that (no pro-rate you still buy X bottles).

Wave $$ and they FIND a way!

In the past I purchased soda package but the soda in the various areas tasted like mold. This wasn't just on one ship. It was undrinkable except at the casino bar. No longer buy it. Off the ship quite a bit of the time and we take a few bottles of coke onboard with us and keep in our room I only then buy a couple a day. Depends if you drink a lot of soda before it is a good deal (if it is drinkable)
