What is the best Cabin on the ship

Penthouse is always the most expensive, and thought by many to be the best cabin on any ship.

 

BUT for me the most expensive stateroom on any HAL ship is not the best for me. For me the best stateroom is an Aft Wrap Stateroom SC or an SB.

 

For many others the best might be an SA, a verandah stateroom and some even love the Inside Staterooms the most.

 

 

There really is no one stateroom that any of us can list as the BEST stateroom without knowing what you like, dislike, if you suffer motion sickness, claustrophobia or........

Joanie is absolutely right, it depends on you individual taste. We like SA's, Joanie likes her aft cabins. If your just looking for the best it would be the Penthouse.

The Penthouse is the best cabin on the ship - we love them.

To us the second best cabin is an SA -- near the Neptune Lounge.

For me, the best cabin is any of them that I'm sailing in:p

 

If money were no object, I would probably go for the penthouse because it has a hot tub on the verandah

Our best cabins have been SA's near the Neptune Lounge on the Rotterdam deck, I would like to try an aft SB or SC someday.

Penthouse would be the best. Second place would be SA Cabin near Neptune Lounge. We have it on the Osterdam's sister ship Westerdam this May. Bill

The "best cabin" is the one I can afford, near mid-ship.

SB Cabins mid ship on deck 6. Right near the mid-ship elevators, quick walk one flight up to desk 7 (Neptune Lounge). Lower cost than SA, but not inconvenient in the slightest to deter in having a Deluxe Veranda Suite.

As stated by others, the penthouse is the "best". We are doing a probably once in a lifetime cruise in one of them on the Oosterdam with our grandsons this Spring. If the question is what is the best cabin for the money on this ship, I would say an assigned SY or an SZ guarantee. They are very roomy and you can often get very good prices on them.

 

I will report back on our PH experience post cruise.

While the Penthouse on all HAL ships is always the most costly, on some of the ships we prefer "SA" and/or "S" cabins. I like the "PS" on Vista and Signature ships better than the "PS" on "S" and "R" Class ships.

 

"S" ships = Statendam, Maasdam, Ryndam, Veendam

"R" ships = Rotterdam, Amsterdam

"Vista" ships = Zuiderdam, Oosterdam, Westerdam, Noordam

"Signature" ships = Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam

 

The "PS in the "S" and "R" Class ships are the same.

The "PS" in the Vista and Signature ships are the same.
