Legend of the Seas, February 3, 2014.. second seating is wait listed. Anyone know what is going on? It's a year away! :)

We just booked the Feb. 24th sailing and were also told dinner was waitlisted. Balcony cabins were also hard to come by - apparently longer caribbean cruises are in high demand (makes me wonder why they don't schedule more of them) and are booked out far in advance. I am sure alot of people will cancel as the year advances - just keep an eye on them. The Loyalty Ambassador onboard was suprised at how full ours already was.

I assume your talking about MDR dining? If so, the cruise lines tend to reserve seats in the MDR for a number of questionable purposes. However, if you ask to be put on the wait list you're almost guaranteed a spot as generally these seats are "released," closer to the time of the cruise.

Did you make your own reservations, or are you using a TA?

 

Things WILL open up. It can't hurt to call every week or so. :)

 

They'll get tired of you calling and just break down and give you what you want. Eventually.

We are wait listed for the first seating on Jan 24, 2014. I was wondering if they are hoping more people go to my time dining.

I am also booked on the Feb. 14 2014 cruise. We have friends who want to go but were waiting to book on board Allure in a couple weeks. Thanks to your post I checked the prices and they have indeed gone up about $100 to $150 per person. Thanks for the heads up.

Large group bookings by ta's that require an attached MDR resi for each cabin, maybe.

I'm also wait listed for the second seating on the January 3, 2014 cruise. I wonder if a large group has booked, because the price of my cabin jumped $600 the day after I booked.

I could not even get waitlisted for the first sitting .

We were waitlisted as well for the second seating for our upcoming May cruise on Vision. Final payment was last week, and I was thinking that some would cancel, so I called my TA and she was able to confirm us for the second seating the day before final payment was due.

 

I did contact her a few times before that too just to ask that she keep checking if something opened up.

I was just confirmed this morning for first sitting on the 3 Feb.2014 , I posted earlier today that I was wait listed and shortly after RCL called and confirmed that I had my sitting .

We have confirmed late seating, but it is earlier than usual--8:00. We are also on Legend Feb 3. Today when I went to check prices the balconies were sold out!
