Mailed them together priority with tracking, tracked them through the state department website and received them priority in separate envelopes. WitnessProtection Posted June 18, 2018 #306 Share Posted June 18, 2018 Fiancé and I applied for first passports on June 6th, received the passport books today (June 18th). Still waiting for the passport cards and our original documents to be returned. Seems funny that the passports arrived before our birth certificates were returned to us! :)

Tim-n-Gina Posted June 20, 2018 #308 Share Posted June 20, 2018 (edited) Sailing in October, applying for first time passports soon. Question on middle name: DW's middle name is on her BC. We have marriage license to document her change of last name, but none of her other documents have a middle name listed -- Birth Certificate shows a middle name - SS Card does not have middle name - Marriage License does not have middle name - Drivers License does not have middle name Could this be a problem? If so, how would we go about correcting the problem? Edited June 20, 2018 by Tim-n-Gina clarity

You need not have your middle name on your passport. My middle name is on my BC but not on my passport. :)

BDRebel Posted July 18, 2018 #312 Share Posted July 18, 2018 It only took about two weeks to get my renewal last month. I agree that it is nice to see a government office ahead of the curve.
nephthys431 Posted July 28, 2018 #313 Share Posted July 28, 2018 I just sent my application in yesterday. Technically, I wasn't due to renew for two more years, but I seem to have misplaced it in my last move, so I had to fill out the lost paperwork and apply again. I'll let you guys know when I get it back! Sent from my SM-G930V using Forums mobile app

Tim-n-Gina Posted August 16, 2018 #318 Share Posted August 16, 2018 Hi. Our travel agent gave us a few choices of hotels and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions if they had ever stayed at any of them pre-cruise. What would be closer to the ship or are they all the same amount of distance? Is anyone else staying at these hotels? Any help would be greatly appreciate. Thanks . The Dream South Beach The SLS Hotel Residences Brickett The Me Miami or The Hyatt Regency Thanks. Gina /Regina
Missylove Posted September 3, 2018 #319 Share Posted September 3, 2018 When waiting for passports they only count business days for the mail correct? I mean I wouldn't expect a government business to be open on the weekend.
SleepingUgly Posted September 4, 2018 #320 Share Posted September 4, 2018 My husband and I sent off our renewals on Thursday morning, August 16. Usual TAT, not priority service. He got his new one in regular mail on August 29, just under two weeks! Mine came the very next day. Crazy - I wasn't expecting them back until late September / early October! Missylove Posted September 5, 2018 #321 Share Posted September 5, 2018 I applied for my passport and waited 11 days to receive it by mail. I was expecting to wait at least 3 weeks since they said 4-6 weeks for it to be processed and received.

aknguyen Posted November 5, 2018 #325 Share Posted November 5, 2018 I recently got a passport book for my minor son in the Houston area. It took 3 weeks but I think it was actually less than that. We don't check the mail every day so I can't say exactly when it was received. The returned documents were also in the mailbox during the same time so they probably arrived within a day or two of the passport book.
