The Dragon Posted April 28, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 28, 2013 Hiya I'm on the Crown out of Southampton on the 25th May. On our last cruise I really enjoyed the painting pottery above the pool on the Grand - ceramics@sea I think it was called. Does Princess still do this? Will it be available on The Crown for a 7 day itinerary? I love creative/crafty stuff and find it a great way to relax - are there any other shipboard pursuits to indulge this passion? Thanks a lot Hannah
paul929207 Posted April 28, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 28, 2013 If memory serves, they had it on the 12 night Crown Princess last October.
Rare cr8tiv1 Posted April 28, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 28, 2013 Have not seen it in the past year (Coral/Panama Canal), (Golden/Hawaii), (Sapphire/Coastal). I have been looking for it and really wanted to do a ceramics at sea. Are they only on certain ships or voyages? Renee
antsp Posted April 28, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 28, 2013 Think ceramics at sea has finished, our dd always used to do it. Not seen it on at least our last 4 cruises

synet165 Posted April 30, 2013 #6 Share Posted April 30, 2013 It's not a Princess Thing. Have only seen it on Holland. synet165
Rare cr8tiv1 Posted April 30, 2013 #7 Share Posted April 30, 2013 It's not a Princess Thing. Have only seen it on Holland.synet165 It is still advertised by Princess. I was in the Platinum/Elite lounge watching their sales presentation loop around and around and around. They are still describing the ceramics at sea program. Have yet to see it listed in any of my Patters. Renee

Who Knew Posted April 30, 2013 #9 Share Posted April 30, 2013 It was definitely offered for a time on Princess, but I couldn't find it on our last cruise which was a long one (at least towards the end when we had all the sea days).
bob123 Posted May 1, 2013 #10 Share Posted May 1, 2013 We had it on the Island Princess Alaskan Cruise three years ago, but it was not on the Sapphire last year. We were disappointed as it was a really fun thing to do. If anyone from Princess reads this, this might be something you want to bring back. bob123
mith Posted May 1, 2013 #11 Share Posted May 1, 2013 My understanding is that Princess was phasing it out and ending the ceramics at sea program. My girlfriend was told this on our last cruise about 18 months ago.
The Dragon Posted May 1, 2013 Author #12 Share Posted May 1, 2013 Alas! Thanks everyone for the replies; not the answers I wanted but would rather know in advance. Was a good relaxing on board activity. Never mind, won't spoil my cruise!
