question about decks and where in the ship

we are currently on deck 5 mid ship with obstructive view(lifeboat under so we cant look straight down)....but for the same price we can have a room on deck 4 at the back of the ship(same size room but no obstruction) i get motion sick and before we change rooms want to see what others say about location and motion sickness

If you are subject to motion sickness you will probably have a smoother ride mid ships. Of course, most people get over their motion sickness after their first cruise -- unless they talk themselves into it. A significant percentage of sailors in the Navy experience motion sickness their first time at sea. Virtually all of them get over it after just a few days at sea.
