God I hope not. I thought I saw pictures of it - but they could have been pre refurbishment. I was really looking forward to sitting there and reading a good book (have not picked one out yet, but still have a few months to find the perfect one).

Yep, the library and card room are gone. Same thing on deck 8 - the lounge and C&A area are also gone.

There is an RCI on line and "Next Cruise" desk on deck 4 - did they not replace the lounge and C & A area on deck 8? (Don't know if what was the lounge was also an internet area).

Sounds like what they did on Rhapsody. The LA had a partition separating her office from the Centrum. I spent some time there trying to book a cruise and it was a bit difficult to do business with all the noise in the Centrum area.

Thanks. I recall the old areas on 7 & 8 that are now the POV's from our maiden Grandeur in '96 (cobwebs not withstanding) and figured that the locations on 4 are where the lounge and old C & A area wound up.

Looking forward to sailing on her a 2nd time next month!

is there a deck outside you can sit and read(not at pool). thanks

There are also places on the deck above the solarium that are quiet and good for reading.

The library area is a set of bookcases by the next cruise office area. Although there are a few chairs their often the art auction pieces are on display there.

We ended up reading in the Viking Lounge off hours.

Last time we sailed GoS, there were chairs going around the aft of the pool deck, completely away from the pool area chaos. Distractingly beautiful view from there though! ; )
