Favorite ship?

Recommended Posts

Currently, our favorite is the Liberty. We've sailed on her twice. Beautiful ship, great crew and staff. However, we're making plans to sail on the Breeze next. I have a feeling, based on all of the reviews we've read, that the Breeze may replace the Liberty as our favorite.

I've only been on 4 cruises so far, but my fave was the Triumph. That probably has more to do with the Cruise Director than the layout/design of the ship. We had such a blast on that cruise, with all the activities offered.

My favorite is a tie between the Breeze and the Liberty! We have done a B2B on both and both are amazing. We love the decor of the Breeze and we never felt crowded or cramped. We will definitely sail them both again.

The Liberty followed closely by the Freedom. Although they are essentially the same ship, the Liberty gets the edge for nicer decor. The Freedom looked like a crackhead decorated it, but the staff was wonderful!

If you asked me this question before June 10th, I would have said the Miracle hands down! But we sailed on the Splendor 6/10-6/18 and now she is neck and neck with the Miracle. I really, really loved the Splendor. So it's close - maybe a tie.

I like the Spirit Class layout, but except for decks 3 and 4 the Splendor is great also.

I've been on the Triumph, the Victory, the Legend, the Miracle and the Splendor.

The Pride has the same interior french door room, we've had it once and I've booked one for our next cruise. I love them! It sounds like the Legend is just like the Pride.

You are so right. I'd totally forgotten about the Pride. The Pride was my first cruise, and I had been lucky enough to be upgraded from an inside cabin to a balcony!!!!! We originally booked a 'french door' cabin at inside rate and were thrilled when Carnival moved us to a balcony with no extra cost. In all my cruises, that has only happened twice. So, I guess the Pride and the Legend are my 2 favorites......since they are so much alike.

Just got off the Breeze in June. Loved it. I have to say it is a tie between the Breeze and Legend. The crew on the Legend are just more attentive. The cruise director on the Breeze (Butch) is amazing. He keeps the party going. You won't be upset either way. Plus going out of Florida is a highlight too.

Victory, Ecstasy, Conquest and Triumph under my belt so far. The Victory was probably my favorite to look at, but the Ecstasy had karaoke in a club, not a hallway. I really do not like the casino hallways jammed with karaoke singers and live music.

That is one nice pic

I never have an answer to this question. I like them all! I guess for me it's the overall experience which includes the people we meet, new friends we make, places we go and adventures we have. The ship itself is just a bonus! :D

I've done 7 cruises aboard Fantasy class ships and so I know the layout of those like the back of my hand. It's kind of nice because I already know where everything is when I get onboard and the decor is different on each ship so it doesn't feel exactly the same.

I sailed on the Breeze in January and will say that when we boarded I was taken aback because it felt like I was stepping into a fancy hotel lobby rather than a cruise ship because the decor and lighting was toned down and not as tacky as some. And Butch is definitely the most involved cruise director I've ever had. One minute he's dressed in a suit hosting Hasbro The Game Show, the next minute he's on deck in shorts, a T-shirt, tube socks and a bandanna leading the conga line.

The one thing I missed on our most recent cruise aboard the Fascination was that they didn't have the Thirsty Frog Red on tap. I got used to that on the Breeze, but was relegated to my buckets of Miller Lite on the Fascination. Can't wait to indulge in it again on the Liberty in November!

And I'm glad that there are so many that list the Liberty as their favorite because that's the ship we'll be sailing next! :D

Glad to hear it! I will be sailing on the Freedom for the first time next Jan.

We've sailed her twice, great ship with a great crew both times. 2nd would be the Splendor followed by the Miracle, going on her for the second time and looking forward to the upgrades.

I've been on the Ecstasy, Elation, Inspiration, Legend, Miracle, Magic, Glory, Sensation, Triumph, Freedom, Conquest and Magic plus most of the older ships no longer sailing for Carnival and my favorites are the Conquest and the Miracle.

Mine would be the Valor. I've been on the Mardi Gras and Holiday (both out of commission), the Valor and the Dream. I prefer the Valor just because it was a bit smaller than the Dream. I like the smaller ships better.

The Dream, in a landslide. I much prefer the decor of the Dream to the subdued style of Breeze. I like Dream's lido deck setup better than Magic or Breeze, plus Dream has more public space & more hot tubs. Dream has been less crowded than Conquest class ships or almost every smaller ship, had a great atmosphere, great people, great waterslides, the best entertainment of any Carnival ship, sails out of Port Canaveral (currently).

Carnival Breeze. Sure, it seems like an easy answer in that it's the biggest ship with the most features, but I also really like the new post-Farcus decor on it, and I liked the service, staff, etc. on it. I also really like the variety in places to sit outside around the ship and hope Carnival keeps that up.

I haven't been on Sunshine yet but the photos I've seen make me happy that it looks like Carnival is moving in the direction of the Breeze with more than one ship. I wonder if Carnival will move to modernizing the decor and upgrading more such ships in the future?

I would have to say the Carnival Valor....I love the Heroes and Heroism theme with all the different faces in the Atrium. It was the first Carnival ship that I cruised on so I guess you can say the Valor is the ship that started my love with Carnival.

My second favorite ship is......The one that I am currently cruising on :D

I was on the Freedom in April and I couldn't agree more, the crew was fantastic.

I couldn't agree more with you on that one. We were on the Freedom in March and there are 3 crew members that I still talk to on a regular basis from that ship
