Help

Recommended Posts

We are looking for someone to pick us up and take us to our hotel and then the following day take us to Blue Mountains and Wildlife park.. Private person. any help....

Would suggest a better "title" with than just "help". Most ignore that vague term and are less likely to share info. Would suggest re-posting with something like . . . Blue Mountain/Sydney Transportation Ideas? Hopefully that will attract more info and responses.

Good luck!!

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

Did a June 7-19, 2011, Celebrity Solstice cruise from Barcelona that had stops in Villefranche, ports near Pisa and Rome, Naples, Kotor, Venice and Dubrovnik. Enjoyed great weather and a wonderful trip. Dozens of wonderful visuals with key highlights, tips, comments, etc., on these postings. We are now at 135,723 views for this live/blog re-cap on our first sailing with Celebrity and much on wonderful Barcelona. Check these postings and added info at:

Hi if it was me I would get the train to the blue mountains from central station in sydney, when you get off they have a hop on hop off bus right outside the station, beware it will be a full day as it was at least a two andd a half hour train ride.

There are various tours available for all types of atteractions along the way to the Blue Mountains. I suggest googling Blue Mountain tours from Sydney to check them out. The trains are great way to get around in Sydney. There are day/week passes that enable use of the ferries as well.:D

My suggestion would be to just join the line for cabs at the terminal...(the line may look long but they are very quick and efficient) ... check into your Hotel , then see the Concierge and arrange for a private tour to pick you up from you hotel the next day.If you want to arrange a tour beforehand just google day tours in Sydney and you will find plenty of choices , from large coach tours to individually arranged boutique tours .

Agreed. What you're after isn't such a common request here, so will be more difficult, and hence more expensive to arrange.

Simpler just to handle the two steps separately. There are lots of transport options at the airport, including private limo/hire car if you want that service.

While the Blue Mountains are lovely however if you are time limited in Sydney its not the best choice.

As for wildlife you have two choices right in Sydney...Taronga by ferry from Circular Quay or Wildlife World at Darling Harbour...both easily accessed.

Some of the tours to the blue mountains stop at Featherdale or the Koala Sanctuary, both in western Sydney.:D

Be aware of two things. Not sure when you are travelling but in our summer - say December to March it will be very hot up the mountains and in our winter say June, July and August it can be very very cold and possibly windy. Also there are plenty of day trips to the Blue Mountains that can be arranged when you are here but the trip will take all day. It would be a good trip though.:)
