If so how'd you get it and what kind of deal was it? every time I look it says there are no deals now. I have not, but to my knowledge, when you log in to Carnival's site, click on Special Offers, then click Available offers under VIFP Club Offers. If anything special is there; you'll see them listed. Currently for me, all I have is the standard offers available to everyone. Edit: Oops, my phone rang and I looked away from your post. Thought I was finished...I just noticed there was more to your post. Oops. You already know where to look for the offers. But since I'm editing, I do know a lot of the people who tend to have them are those that gamble in the casino...they gamble enough for Carnival to notice. wiskt Posted August 15, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 15, 2013 I check my SPECIAL VIFP OFFERS on the Carnival site fequently. Back in MAY I received VIFP CASINO OFFER on a cruise for $0.00 and just had to pay for the port/taxes. (Grand Suite with 2 other friends) I booked my next cruise in DEC while on that trip and in JUNE my same cruise showed up on a VIFP offer for over $200 lower; So I ES-Price matched it with no problem. :) I have not had any lately. My PVP told me they are random and can pop up at any time... It all depends on how the ships are filling up and selling. I think there were several VIFP offers that went out when bookings were slowing down after all the issues cruiselines & Carnival in particular were having with random ships all at once. KEEP CHECKING! fingers crossed
PSkinner Posted August 15, 2013 #6 Share Posted August 15, 2013 Never for me but my hubby did. Sister and I have booked a cruise together and I could not get Carnival to give the offer they gave my husband. They told me offers are random. It would have saved us $200. I was also told that I had not signed up for offers but I have my own VIFP account linked to a different email account and get the same emails that he gets. His always has his name and VIFP number on them mine never do.
echo Posted August 15, 2013 Author #7 Share Posted August 15, 2013 Did your husband get an email for it, or did he have to check the website? I know people get great casino rates, just wondered about the wonderful VIFP offers we were told about.
gwb3636 Posted August 15, 2013 #8 Share Posted August 15, 2013 Are you talking about VIFP Exclusive Offer? We are still new to cruising but got a postcard in the mail regarding cruises from Sept - Feb. When I went to the carnival website and entered the VIFP number a special fare came up that included $260 in OBC. The thing is that fare compared to the lowest fare was like $100 per person more. I'm pretty much confused on all the Carnival fares to be truthful as they change almost on a daily basis!

psychdout Posted August 15, 2013 #10 Share Posted August 15, 2013 I have never seen any VIFP offers. Then the other day I got a postcard in the mail. Great offer, one problem.... The name and VIFP# was not mine but had my mailing address. According to the postcard, this man had cruised 1 prior time on the Breeze. Sure wish I could have used the savings, I would have booked another cruise right then but it wouldn't let me.
ready2cruzagain Posted August 15, 2013 #11 Share Posted August 15, 2013 No, I log in and check my special VIFP offers and it always says...No Special Offers at this Time. :rolleyes:Go figure.

simplyben Posted August 15, 2013 #13 Share Posted August 15, 2013 I received one for my cruise in October. The price was $250 pp lower than the fare that I currently had. It was nice to be able to switch to it and save $500. I have only 1 Carnival cruise under my belt. Not sure how or why certain people get the offers and others don't. When I got that postcard it had my husband's vifp number so when I went to the Carnival website and entered his number the "VIFP exclusive" offer came up but when I entered mine (as a new booking) it didn't - but after doing this off and on (to see price changes) it came up too. But still the lowest price was like $599 ea versus the exlusive price of $699 ea with $260 OBC - so you come up $60 ahead. Screwy in my opinion but like I said I am new to al this but you have to do the math for sure.

Luvtoeat Posted August 17, 2013 #18 Share Posted August 17, 2013 I also check every day for VIPF offers and nothing shows up. But even better, we received a letter from Carnival for a free cabin and now have an extended balcony on the Legend for the total price of the gov't fees/taxes. I just can't believe this deal. I don't know how they choose who gets the letters and even though the western carib is my least favorite destination. It was impossible to pass this up. Chevy57 Posted August 17, 2013 #19 Share Posted August 17, 2013 We also received letter for a free cabin and booked Legend, Panorama Deck, Mid ship, extended balcony for 198.00. This included port taxes. Since booking also found out, we could include two more people in the room for an additional $351.00. These rates are impossible to pass up. Am still trying to find a couple to go who could get off from work. Daughter could, but not son-in-law. I have received other offers over the years, but never one for free. We have 17 cruises under our belt. Happy cruising to all.

I have booked all our cruised through a TA so do you think that means I would never get an offer like this? Although I did get that postcard for the VIFP "exclusive" offer in the mail. pungo3 Posted August 17, 2013 #21 Share Posted August 17, 2013 I've never been offered a free one, but have gotten greatly reduced ones, which is why I currently have 5 booked.
Luvtoeat Posted August 17, 2013 #22 Share Posted August 17, 2013 I'm still shaking my head as to this great deal. We just had them remove the Carnival travel insurance that they added to the booking so it's now $191.48 for a mid ship extended balacony on the Legend. I always get my own travel insurance and was thinking of skipping it but since you never know once you are onj the ship what may happen. Will research as usual on insure my trip for the best coverages at the lowest price.
