Bon voyage / Ice Cooler worth it?

The picture of it on the Bon Voyage site appears that it is not much taller than a bottle of beer. I decided against it and bought a very nice foldable cooler at Walmart for $5.00 Summer mark-downs are at all stores now. It will hold a lot more than the one offered by Carnival. Mine says it will hold a 12 pack of cans plus ice. I don't think the Carnival one will hold more that 4 bottles plus ice.

 

Another poster mentioned they use it everyday for lunch. That seems pretty small to me.

 

The one we got is not the small square one,(lunchbox size) it is about a foot tall and about the size of a dinner plate round, and hubby said it would easily hold 12 cans of beer. I know we put 8 water bottles and a icee pack (freezer pack) in it.

Whatever kind of cooler you end up with, note these tend to condense and will get everything wet under it.

 

I put mine in the shower where condensation won't matter. The last day I wrap it in a platic bag to take home.
