Just noticed on the Princess site that the Dawn,Sea and Sun Princess deck plans have a new tab for sailings after March / May 2014. (Also other ships)

Does this mean they are going to recategorised staterooms again ?

Anyone heard anything.

Cheers Johhno.

Quite possibly, more cabin categories mean more income brackets and the chance of minor upgrades being seen as special.:D

I read that they have recently split some of the balcony categories on another cruise line (possibly RCI) to improve revenue. What was one category was split on various decks into Mid, Aft and Forward and then price accordingly. An upgrade now is considered from Aft to midships.:D

A fair few lines have done that over the past few years. e.g Princess and P&O categories are that way. Celebrity did that a few years back.

Yes, but I think one of the lines either did it or will be doing it further still, creating even more categories.:D

I think it is all wrong.

The categories as they are now are crazy.

Instead of Mid Aft or Forward they should all be listed

and prices set by ...

distance to the food.:D

But that is what they have done, sort of.

I agree it is best to be as far away from the food as possible to avoid overeating, and the exercise would also help combat the effects of overeating.???

Well worth paying a little extra to stay slim, I guess this is what you had in mind. :)

That's what's known as a win-win. :)
