Rare MVPinBoynton Posted September 22, 2013 #26 Share Posted September 22, 2013 I was thrilled when I saw your thread. Like others that have already posted, we will be getting on the Summit when you get off. We will be spending three days in Manhattan before getting on the ship and will do all the things you did and a lot more. Keep the posts, pics and great info coming. It is appreciated. Havana Daydreamin Posted September 22, 2013 Author #28 Share Posted September 22, 2013 We will be on the summit for Halloween so looking forward to your posts! Are you able to get 1/2 price qsine the first night? It was $30 rather the normal $40 or so. It was enjoyable. As for another poster about menus. I kind of fumbled that one today. I meant to, but had too much fun doing other things. Tomorrow is another day. As I mentioned we did Qsine and do not have the menus from Blu. But I would have had the quail appetizer and the ahi tuna entree as I remember from the menu. Blessings to all! I am going to enjoy some "us time" and hit the bunk! Havana Daydreamin Posted September 22, 2013 Author #33 Share Posted September 22, 2013 DAY ONE - A SEA DAY This was a day that I was going to sleep in. Well, I did until 5:45 AM. I absolutely love mornings. So I gabbed camera and MacBook and ventured off to find JAVA. Yesterday I found a coffee station on Deck 10 that I expected would be in use in the morning. To my surprise, it was not. EVEN MORE to my surprise was the fact that the OceanView Cafe was open and I received my very first cup of black coffee!!! We have room service coming for coffee at 7 AM and then off to Blu for breakfast. In the meantime, I am enjoying the sight of lighting in the view out of the cafe. Temps are moderate this morning with no real need for a jacket yet as I thought and wore. In the meantime, waiting to see if there is a nice sunrise, I jot a few notes and put up the cabin photos. They speak for themselves I guess. It is cabin 1138 and the loveseat is near the veranda door as I like. (Speaking of Veranda door....I wish they had closers when out on the veranda, because yesterday it kept sliding open when we were out. I might have to purchase a dowel in Boston!) Anyway enjoy the sample of cabin pictures. Off to find the rising of the sun!
Havana Daydreamin Posted September 22, 2013 Author #34 Share Posted September 22, 2013 Sorry about the decrease in size. I tried a different size to increase upload speed. I will be going back to the other settings. I did not yet get a picture of closets, but there is AMPLE storage!
upwarduk Posted September 22, 2013 #35 Share Posted September 22, 2013 (edited) Is that a curtain less shower I see- ie doors rather than the dreaded clingy curtain. I am assuming that this is an Aqua cabin, given the position on the plan. Edited September 22, 2013 by upwarduk

Scpddp Posted September 22, 2013 #39 Share Posted September 22, 2013 This is too wild--my husband and I will be in cabin 1138 when we sail oct 5! We had the same problem with the veranda door when we were on the Millenium in cabin 1133 last year. The dowel is a great idea!

CruisinCadie Posted September 22, 2013 #41 Share Posted September 22, 2013 Thanks for posting the Celebrity Today and all the beautiful photos. I think I spotted our cabin on your exterior shot of the ship. I don't know whether enjoying the cruise vicariously will make the wait longer or shorter, but keep up the good work and have a great trip. Havana Daydreamin Posted September 22, 2013 Author #42 Share Posted September 22, 2013 DAY TWO - continued Blu was a fantastic breakfast of an omelette made MY way! The weather continues to be dreary and drizzly, which coming from drought stricken southwest Kansas, is simply enjoyable especially on a sea day. I am currently sitting in the Celebrity Theatre for a “Beyond the Podium: The Crazy World of NFL Officiating.” It is described this way in the in the Celebrity Today: “Celebrity Life Sports Speaker Bob McElwee provides an inside look at the outlandish, crazy, and sometimes unbelievale situations that have occurred in his 27 year career as a referee in the National Football League.” It is proving to be VERY entertaining! disneydave Posted September 22, 2013 #50 Share Posted September 22, 2013 Cabin 1138 I'm officially jealous. We are in 1132 for a Caribbean sailing on Jan 11 but I keep checking on the row of cabins and hoping one opens up.
