from Copenhagen Tivoli area to airport

How long is the trip and do they offer shuttle buses or do you just take a cab?

The subway is 3 stops, less than 15 minutes, as I recall. Think the cost was 4 euros...maybe less. The subway station is right at Tivoli and right at the airport. Couldn't be easier.

Agree, take the subway. The station is right across the street from Tivoli, and the train will let you off right in the airport terminal. Very easy.

Correction, the cost was in Danish Krone. But it was a buck or three US.

Tivoli Gardens is bordered on one side by Hans Christian Andersson Blvd. where many hotels are located. The train station is on the other side of the park across from the main entrance. The sidewalks are wide and flat within about a six block perimeter so it's really easy to use wheeled luggage.

The ride is about 20 minutes and the train pulls into the airport terminal within a couple of hundred yards of all the major carriers.

You can do a google search for Copenhagen maps and determine if this alternative is right for you. It's really easy.

As always be aware of your surroundings. This part of Copenhagen has signs warning of pickpockets and toting luggage can be distracting.

The Metro/Subway to the airport is only from Nørreport and Kongens Nytorv.

 

The train you are going to use from the Central Station is the Øresund commuter train towards either the airport or various destinations in Sweden including Ystad, Gothenburg, Kalmar, Kristianstad or Malmö.

Note that 2 out of 3 intercity trains has it starting or ending point at the airport and the Intercity Bornholm trains also stops at the airport.

 

The 3 zone ticket is also valid on these trains.

 

The swedish X2 trains also stops at the airport but no local tickets are valid on these trains.

I am sure the hotel could call a taxi for you

 

Most hotels in Europe do not have the free shuttle buses if that is what you are looking for

If you don't want to take the train, I agree with the suggestion of emailing your hotel and inquiring about taxis and shuttles.

For those of you who made the trip, How is the train from Tivoli to the airport with luggage? We travel with two regular cases and a day bag each. Would that be awkward?

The second wagon out of 3 is a low floor wagon so it should be easy to manage all your luggage.

 

I think that around 50% of all passengers at the airport arrives with train or metro so it is doable.
