Pacific Princess Dining

It looks like the Pacific Princess only has the two dining time traditional dining seating in the one main dining room. If this is indeed the case, does anyone know if there are many tables for two? Thanks.

Yes there are tables for two but not many. Put your request in early.

But, only a handful are not actually just inches away from a bigger table.

Yes, one of the criteria for who gets a table for two is when you make the request (the earlier the better). We've had better luck getting one with late dining rather than early dining. Also, make sure you meet with the Maitre 'd on embarkation day. The time will be printed in the Princess Patter. You want to confirm that you did actually get a table for two, and if you didn't (it happens) that you get the table assignment which will suit you best. Also, be polite when you meet with the Maitre 'd. We once were behind a couple who demanded a table for two. They were terribly obnoxious about it and they were not successful. We were next, didn't get a table for 2, but we're told to check the next day. The next day came, we asked again and they created a 2-top from a 4-top for us. Of course, your mileage may vary.

Not all of them are split off from larger tables. There are 2 or 3 just inside the entrance against the wall. There are also 4 2-tops in front of the raised central area (these are our favorites).

We always choose Anytime Dining at tables for two when we cruise, but since Anytime Dining was not an option on the Pacific Princess, we decided to go outside our "comfort zone" and request seating at a table for 6 on our recent Black Sea cruise. Wow, did we have a fantastic time with our dining partners! They were such interesting people and since none of us did the same thing in any of the ports, we had fun each evening recounting what we had done. It was like taking an extra two excursions just hearing what our dining companions had seen each day. The conversation never stopped and our 2-hour dinner was over before we knew it!

 

So, if you don't get a table for two on the Pacific Princess, don't be discouraged. You might just end up with dining companions like ours!
