Skyrules Posted November 26, 2013 #22 Share Posted November 26, 2013 If anyone is thinking about doing one of the PNG cruises, I thoroughly recommend it. Beautiflul ports, amazingly friendly and welcoming locals. It was wonderful.
Kiwi Kruzer Posted November 26, 2013 #23 Share Posted November 26, 2013 It would have been! and in fact coming back on board we spent longer in the que for security screening than we did on the tender! Would that have been for bio security?
Skyrules Posted November 26, 2013 #24 Share Posted November 26, 2013 Would that have been for bio security? No, I think more for weapons from the markets (there were lots of wooden spears, knives, etc available) and for drugs. They weren't too worried about food coming back on board, we brought bannana's back on a couple of times. Also the security staff on this cruise were a little bit slow & methodical, and there were a lot of people who, putting it polietely, needed a lot of assistance gettting on and off, and through the metal detectors.
