Additional deck chairs needed on Westerdam

Sailing on Westerdam on December 7 in a deluxe veranda cabin. Will we be able to get a third deck chair for the balcony?

Better to ask your room steward than to ask here! ;)

The only correct answer you will get here ranges between definitely, maybe, maybe not or absolutely not!

Having been in Deluxe Veranda cabins on that ship for 49 days in the past year we have a couple of thoughts. If you want an extra chair your best bet is to quietly ask your cabin steward (and perhaps make it worth his while) who might be able to find you an extra chair. My other thought is that the verandas are pretty small and a third chair is going to make things a bit tight. But it's certainly doable.

Just curious, why do you have to ask quietly?

Because the cabin steward is not suppose to take deck chairs and put them on people's private balconies. If you ask quietly, they do it quietly, then they don't get into trouble. Sometimes the steward says no he can't do it, other times, the steward is willing to take a chance in order to please you.

I agree it will make for lots of furniture on that verandah. They are chairs with ottomans vs lounge chairs but they take a fair amount of space. That is in addition to round table and chairs as well as side table.

SO who do you think the steward's boss is going to accuse when he finds out there is an extra piece of furniture that is not suppose to be there?

Yeah, that makes no sense at all. Would someone really scream or talk that loud?
