embarkation lunch

We are taking a four day cruise on the Ruby Princess. Does anyone know which dining room is open for lunch on embarkation day.

Thanks in advance for the info.

If you look at your Patter once on board it will give the location. The time is usually from 12-1:30 pm.

It will be the MDR on 5 or 6 (can't recall the name), but it will be the only one that's open. Having lunch in the MDR upon embarkation is one of the great "secrets" of Princess cruising. Most of the crowd goes to the Horizon Ct or burger line, but great lunch in the MDR that day and usually not very crowded. Their lunch burger trumps the Trident Grill every time, or at least it did last year. steve

Like Tom said, look at the section on the back of the Patter where all dining venues are listed, it will tell you which dining room is open for embarkation lunch. A wonderful way to start your cruise!

Embarkation Lunch in the MDR is in DaVinci (Deck 6) on the sister ships, Emerald & Crown, so seems very likely that it will be on Ruby as well.

It is not always posted in the Patter and I have no clue if it's even offered on 4 night cruises. It's basically intended for those "In Transit" (B2B cruises) but if you know about it and it's offered you can get in.

No. It is intended for all passengers. As it says on the ship's map they hand out whenb you check in "Shortly after we welcome you on board, you're invited to relax and dine at the Horizon Court or in one of the ship's dining rooms.
