Thanks - guess I will start searching the news - princess does not have port information on our cruise in Feb, so wondering which pier it may be/

Very little activity in February except for Princess, so it will probably be Pier 35 South where the old cruise terminal resides.

I will be ariving there on Princes Feb3. How difficult is it to get transportation for 2 to the SFO airport on your own? And cost of a taxi?

Some reading on the board would reveal no problem with a taxi, and the fare would be in the $50-60 range. Perhaps a little more.

Might as well take BART, exit at Embarcadaro, then walk or short taxi ride to the cruise terminal. Very easy and convenient.

The poster is going pier to airport, not the other way around.

It works both ways ; -)

The Muni "F" Street Car runs from in front of the Cruise Ship "Pier 35" to the BART station at the Embarcadero.

BART runs directly to SFO. The transit trip will take you and hour and about 10 minutes.

A cab at the pier, for $40.00, will get you to the airport in 30 minutes with no traffic. With traffic... well, usually under an hour.

Cheapest way is to take a cab to the Hyatt Regency hotel, across the street from the Ferry Bldg. Across the street is the BART entrance and catch the airport train. You will have to fight some stairs with luggage. Taking the streetcar to BART would be a major nightmare with luggage. Frequently impossible to get on even with no luggage.
