Mobi Cruiser Posted December 27, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2013 Which brands of beer do they have on Sun Princess? We are doing a NZ cruise and 13 days of VB is not too encouraging. Do they do the buckets on NZ cruises?
Rare MicCanberra Posted December 27, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2013 I would say (from experience on the Diamond Princess) that there would be Heinekin, Corona, Budweiser, Millers, and plenty of aussie beers to choose from.:D

Mobi Cruiser Posted December 27, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted December 27, 2013 Being an Australia based ship I would expect to have more Australian beers like Foster's . I have been told that Fosters isn't too bad in the UK and I have seen cans languishing on supermarket shelves in the USA but one would have to travel far and wide in Australia to find any of the stuff, it was not highly regarded. We just got off Diamond earlier this month and they changed over the Stella on tap to VB before it started its Australian season. As Sun is predominately based in Oz I was wondering if it carries a different beer range to the standard Princess range and whether the bucket is also available. Aus Traveller Posted December 28, 2013 #5 Share Posted December 28, 2013 I have seen people with the 'bucket of beer' on the Australian-based ships. :)
Rare MicCanberra Posted December 28, 2013 #6 Share Posted December 28, 2013 Being an Australia based ship I would expect to have more Australian beers like Foster's . Fosters is purely for export, no aussie drinks that stuff anymore (not since the 80's anyway).
bazzaw Posted December 28, 2013 #7 Share Posted December 28, 2013 Being an Australia based ship I would expect to have more Australian beers like Foster's . You will DEFINITELY not find Fosters on any Australian based ship -- and you will be hard pressed to find it anywhere else in Australia. But in the UK -- you will find it everywhere, advertised as the "quintessential Australian beer". The first Rule of Beer Drinking is -- NEVER drink a beer that is brewed "Under Licence" -- anywhere, at anytime!!!!!!!!! Barry
