lbt43 Posted January 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2014 After 4 cruises on Norwegian in 2013, I would have to say my top two places to eat are La Cucina and Teppenyaki in a very close matchup. I absolutely love La Cucina. The atmosphere and the food were awesome. Teppenyaki has great food and if you go with friends, it is a lot of fun. mikaula Posted January 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2014 I like the MDR a lot but I also love Cagney's

Da-Painter Posted January 5, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 5, 2014 I may be one of the few, but we ate at Chin Chin Asian restaurant on our last cruise on the Jewel, and were surprised how much we liked it. Thats my new favorite for now. This may change on the next cruise, though.
sunlover1060 Posted January 5, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 5, 2014 We love La Cucina or Moderno, and the Garden Buffet is my breakfast place!
H&J Posted January 5, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 5, 2014 My favorite meal hands down is breakfast in Cagney's.
punkincc Posted January 5, 2014 #7 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Currently, it would be a toss up between Cagneys and Moderno. Best steak Cagneys, but that salad bar and sides at Moderno, I could make a meal on. Now if I were on the Sun, it would have to be Il Adagio, simply for the most beautiful, romantic dining I've seen on any ship. And the food is not bad either. debnjoe1438 Posted January 5, 2014 #8 Share Posted January 5, 2014 MDR and Cagney's. :D (Blue Lagoon is ok for a late lunch)
newmexicoNita Posted January 5, 2014 #9 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Madernos has to be at the top of our list; Le Bistro used to be, but we were not all that impressed our last cruise. Depending on the ship, the Asian restaurant is toward the top for us and we love IL Adagio's on the Sun.
Azure Moon Posted January 5, 2014 #10 Share Posted January 5, 2014 My favorite place to eat is the buffet. We have always eaten breakfast there. Most times we eat lunch there. On rare occasions we've had dinner in the buffet. We'll grab a quick bite at night or stop for a snack when we get back on the ship from port or to tide us over if we're going to have a late dinner in one of the main or specialty restaurants. Our other favorite restaurants are the main dining rooms (especially the largest one), the Asian restaurant, and the Blue Lagoon.
polySeraph Posted January 5, 2014 #11 Share Posted January 5, 2014 I'm torn between Moderno's and LeBistro. I love the appetizers, desserts, and the filet at LeBistro, but on the other hand, who can say "no" to meat on a spear? Plus, that salad bar at Moderno's is simply dazzling. Every time I go there I promise myself that the next time I will stop saving room for the meat and do justice to that salad bar. Of course, I never do.... weltek Posted January 5, 2014 #12 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Probably Moderno for consistetly great meals, drinks and service, but the Asian on the Spirit was my most unique, delicious meal. I'm comparing to Cagneys, Italian and Asian across five ships. I have not tried Le Bistro or Ocean Blue. Both are on my to do list this year! youngestof9 Posted January 5, 2014 #13 Share Posted January 5, 2014 I love Teppanyaki because the food is delicious and it's fun. I love Moderno because the food is excellent, but I leave in a meat coma I love La Cucina on the Epic for the location of the restaurant and the ambiance, the food comes second. DCP Posted January 5, 2014 #14 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Breakfast at Cagney's, the larger of the MDR's for dinner, lunch is a toss up!
sc2011 Posted January 5, 2014 #15 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Moderno is my favorite for sure. Love the salad bar! Actually like Great Outdoors as well for a burger patty and potato salad.

DMH15 Posted January 5, 2014 #17 Share Posted January 5, 2014 My favorite meal hands down is breakfast in Cagney's. Breakfast is my favorite meal. I live rhe Sun and the suite venue is Il Adagio, which is gorgeous. Love it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

danh78 Posted January 5, 2014 #20 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Specialty - Toss up between Tepanyaki and Moderno. Tepanyaki is extra awesome if you get seated at a good table I also really like O'Sheehan's
che5904 Posted January 5, 2014 #21 Share Posted January 5, 2014 I'd have to say any place onboard that serves food :D I don't have much to pick from really, have only so far eaten at MDR, Buffet and Cagneys. So on a more serious note, I'd have to say Cagneys. But we intend to try Modernos this time around as well, so that may change after this cruise. ;)
luddite Posted January 5, 2014 #22 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Teppanyaki would be last on my list. LeBistro would be at the top although Moderno gets a serious look. The salad bar for Moderno could stand alone.
newbe dave Posted January 5, 2014 #23 Share Posted January 5, 2014 The situation would be coming back onto the ship after a wonderful day at port. I would sit a Blue Lagoon enjoying a snack and some drinks to relax and recall the great day. Nothing can beat that for me.
rbrugler Posted January 5, 2014 #24 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Moderno. The salad bar is amazing. The meats are wonderful. My only suggestion would be to add a seafood choice.
lanceholt Posted January 5, 2014 #25 Share Posted January 5, 2014 Cagney's by a landslide! We love it for dinner, but like to cruise in suites when possible, and love it for breakfast and lunch as well. Le Bistro is 2nd runner up. Despite the many people here who complain about food, in 6 cruises on NCL, I have had only two meals I would consider not good.
