EDIT: yeah now it does not look so weird anymore....the blurry screen and angle made it look like a half floating pirate ship or something...

While in port, the ship's Master has to request to, and receive permission from, the harbor master for a myriad of things; loading potable water, bunkering fuel, performing "hot work", off-loading sludge, carrying out maintenance (painting and washing from the dock), utilizing a paint raft for painting the hull, lowering boats/rafts for training and/or maintenance, and even.......and here it comes, using the ship's whistle and P/A system ;) All those requests are usually transmitted to the port agent prior to the vessel arriving in port
