"Live" (its my plan) from Independence of the Seas February 9th 2014

We'll be joining you on Saturday.

It would be cool if they showed the Olympics on the movie screen out by the pool! Someone on board now should suggest that so it'll be all set up for us! LOL

Marianne

That was our hope, but we just got off the Indy yesterday and sadly, no Olympics - not even Opening Ceremonies! And we couldn't find them on our room TV either. :( We're watching as much of them as we can now that we're home, though!

If you're on the 8-day cruise this Saturday, have a great time! We loved it!

Not a good embarkation. Apparently we have stowaways that are preventing boarding. Been in line quite awhile. First Elvis sighting...

So you guys were the one staring us down as we disembarked the Indy yesterday! ;-) We saw the line of people waiting for the doors to open as we exited the building. It was a SLOW process getting off. Sat in the Pyramid Lounge from 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. yesterday (with about 100 B2Bers, excitedly talking about this cruise!) waiting to disembark. All we could figure was that the slow disembarkation had something to do with the Harleys or the service dogs that were on our sailing. We were some of the last ones off -- saw the workers setting up the Coke cups and wine packages for your cruise! Talk about depressing. My husband saw all the Elvis's (Elvi?) waiting to embark, though!

The countdown is already on to our next cruise. :-)

Hope you have a great time on the Indy!

If you do manage to stop by the Logo Shop again, would you be so kind as to see if they have X-Mas ornaments? I would love to complete my set of the Freedom Class when I sail her in March!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but they did not have Christmas ornaments on the Indy. We searched and searched this last week, and my husband asked two different people and no ornaments. The person we asked in Seasons said something about being able to order them online through the RC Logo shop, so we may have to investigate that.

Hi Niksmom

Enjoying your live review. We did a B2B on her in the beginning of Dec. Enjoyed the cruise except for the rude passengers. We had 5 bus loads from a 55+ community north of Boca Rotan. Never in all our cruise have we seen such behavior.

Niksmom, Thanks so much for taking time to do this. Love the pictures so far. We are also from the midwest (Milwaukee area) and are in the same boat with the weather. You did not miss anything today. Woke up to -8. Enjoy the warmth. Thanks again looking forward to more info.

Sorry, while it appears they stocked up on t-shirts and other apparel, there were no ornaments. I plan to make a note on the comment card, and hope they improve the merchandise by your cruise!

Thanks! We were told that two people were unaccounted for on the sailing previous to ours, so the ship had not been cleared. Elvis is still MIA. I've heard he's in an interior cabin on our deck, but haven't seen a trace of him!

Well, folks, I'm a little behind in my reporting efforts. Had a bit of a family emergency this afternoon, but thankfully all is good now, and it appears we won't have to be making any early travel plans home, and will be able to enjoy the rest of this cruise.

Lady Luck decided to not only bring good news on the home front, but also gifted me a three of a kind, not once, but twice, at the three card poker table. This is all good news because it means DD still gets to go to college, and I can purchase another internet package!

Dinner in the MDR again was excellent. The menu was Saffron.

Tomorrow is grand cayman, and I'll be getting off the ship to do some exploring and more photos are forthcoming!

Had a great morning in grand cayman...no excursions, just a bit of shopping. Margaritaville had free wifi, but as luck would have it, wasn't able to connect.

They were broadcasting the Olympics, and playing some great music!

The IOS gift shop has lots of tees and sweatshirts, but that's about it. Maybe with enough negative feedback, they'll change the selection. I love my purses like the next gal, but I can buy Michael Kors at Macys.....

Tonight I am dragging DH to see some nightlife. We were pretty wiped out after a rather stressful day. I am really enjoying my 5 am coffee and sunrises though! One of the advantages to hitting the hay early!
