Celebrity Reflection Aqua Class Dining Restrictions

First time with Celebrity, booked in Aqua Class/Dining Room Blu. Friends have booked Oceanview cabin and by default they have to go to the Main Dining Room. We would like to dine together a couple of times during our cruise but, we have been informed by Celebrity that our friends cannot be our guests in Blu, nor can we join them in the Main Dining Room. Is this a standard policy for Celebrity? Are there any exceptions made or should we see the Concierge/Maitre D' when we arrive? Anyone else run into this issue before? I am seriously considering changing our reservation out of Aqua Class so that we can have more flexibility.

I know they cannot dine in Blu with you but as for you eating with them

in the main dining room? That happens all the time and so I don't know

who told you it wasn't allowed. It is allowed. You will probably have to

dine "Select" and check with the Maitr'd on the day you want to dine

together in the main dining room:)

They are quite strict on who may dine in Blu though. Only AQ and suite

passengers are allowed in there.

Your friends can not eat in Blu that is a fact. If your friends choose Select Dining you should be able to join them. Fixed Dining would be a problem. You all can go to one of the Specialty restaurants too. Don't give up Blu that would be a mistake. Good luck, you should be able to work it out.

In general Celebrity was right. They can not join you in Blu and you can not join them at their regular dining table.

As others have suggested - select dining might be a good option for you. At the same time, if you don't dine in Blu, you might as well have a regular balcony room.

Another option would be to both book a specialty restaurant together for a night or two.

The only reason to book Aqua and pay more to sail is to dine in Blu. Those that don't can't, plain and simple. The MDR is set up to handle those that don't book Aqua, plain and simple. You want to dine with friends, book the lower class of cabin.

There is always the buffet.

Being in AQ you also have the option of having breakfast in Blu. This is where you get table served, fresh squeezed OJ, or grapefruit juice and smoothies that are part of being in AQ. Those don't mean anything if you have the drink pack but having breakfast being served is a lot nicer that constantly running to the line in the buffet and trying to find a table.

🌊🚢🍸🍻
