If it wasn't so hard to get to get to So America I would book asap. Other than that and the 10 day partial Panama Canal, there is still too many repeat ports I with, when the do the repos they would consider the ports on the east coast and how about Trinidad? I am a little tired of Cozumel, Belize, ST Maarten, even Aruba.

Is it this one you mean? It is the official NCL press release, and it clearly states that the Spirit will be sailing out of Port Canaveral from November 21, 2015 through April 16, 2016.

http://www.ncl.com/nclweb/pressroom/pressRelease.html?storyCode=PR_031214A

That's it, hard to believe that even the supervisor insisted that NCL did not have any ships sailing from PC in 2015 or 2016, we missed out on the Breakaway when we had it booked out of PC for last month and then our resv. was cancelled right before final payment, we were told only international guests could board at PC even though we had a confirmed resv.

We were excited about booking the Spirit out of PC and then to be told it's not happening was very disappointing, I wonder if it will ever show up to be booked.

Houston was supposed to be getting NCL Jewel, but now we are getting the Jade. Also, it was supposed to be going to Trujillo Honduras, but it's now back to Roatan, Honduras with a new port in Belize. Is someone at NCL spinning a wheel with ship names and itineraries? I don't mind the ship change, but NCL hasn't notified the media. I got an invitation to tour the Jewel in Houston, but I'll skip it since it's not the ship that will be sailing from here. I guess I need to contact the NCL rep tomorrow

Houston is getting the Jewel Oct. 2014 to April 2015 and the Jade Nov. 2015 to April 2016. The Jewel will call on Trujillo in Oct. & Nov. and according to NCL's website goes back to Roatan Dec to April. The Jade is scheduled to go to Roatan vs. Trujillo for now and in late 2015 the new private island in Belize, Harvest Caye will be ready and no more Belize City.

Jewel and Jade are sister ships so why not go ahead and accept the invite to tour Jewel?

Pearl and Gem are sisters - slightly different to Jewel/Jade.

NCL is now charging $30 for agents to tour its ships because of security and wine (I

don't drink!) Carnival had us make a $10 donation to St Jude's Hospital for a tour

of the Magic. I think NCL is getting stingy in its old age. I am an outside agent, and the

agency owner was livid when she read NCL's email with the tour charge.

When you select the Sun there will be a box at the very bottom after the other selections on the right hand side for South America. BTW still nothing :( Hope springs eternal that one morning there will actually be something there.

From this website, http://www.shipcruise.org/cruise-ship-refurbishment-dry-dock-schedule/#refurbishments_2014 .. it appears that there is some question regarding the Spirit and I wonder if it's due to a decision as to which ship, Sun or Spirit goes into dry dock first? Find it interesting that there is no date beside the Spirit, only a question mark.

(dry dock) NCL ship refurbishments 2014-2015

•2013 – Norwegian Pearl (April), Norwegian Sky (September)

•2014 – Norwegian Jewel (May 3-17), Norwegian Gem (November 9-22), Norwegian Spirit (?)

•2015 – Norwegian Epic (dry-dock Sept 26-Oct 11, maintenance).

I just went and tried again and do not see the South America that you mentioned. Where exactly are you seeing this? I even tried an advanced search and find nothing for South America.

I too am starting to get frustrated, got a mailing from HAL yesterday with some pretty good prices for SA and the repo, we have never strayed from NCL, but as much as it breaks my heart it just might happen this time.

There is still nothing about South American the NCL website. I got a Princess sale brochure about South America so I understand what you mean.

If that's the case, that probably seals the deal for me as far as booking now with someone else.

MORE ANNOUNCEMENTS - WINTER 2015/2016 ITINERARIES...

Today we announced that our newest and largest ship to date, Norwegian Escape, will homeport year-round at PortMiami, the cruise capital of the world, sailing an Eastern Caribbean itinerary.

Along with the previously announced move of Norwegian Epic sailing year-round from Barcelona, the line’s 2015/16 winter deployment includes its return to South America cruises, a larger Jewel-class ship sailing to the Mexican Riviera, as well as the addition of Port Canaveral, Florida as a seasonal homeport.

“Norwegian Escape’s arrival to Miami coincides with Norwegian Epic’s year-round Europe deployment, demonstrating the balanced approach we used to develop our winter 2015/16 deployment and ensuring that we had a varied offering of premium destinations that would be exciting to our guests,” said Kevin Sheehan, Norwegian’s chief executive officer. “Much of this deployment was designed based on feedback from our guests and travel partners, and we know they will be happy with the changes and enhancements we have made.”

Norwegian Escape

Our newest and largest ship to date, at approximately 163,000 gross tons and 4,200 passenger berths, Norwegian Escape will join the fleet in October 2015. Beginning November 14, 2015, Norwegian Escape will offer seven-day Eastern Caribbean sailings from her year-round home port of Miami cruising to Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. Thomas Vermaelens, U.S. Virgin Islands; and Nassau, Bahamas. The ship will boast all of exciting and innovative features found on Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Getaway, plus a number of new spaces and interactive experiences that are yet to be announced.

“PortMiami looks forward to welcoming Norwegian Escape in 2015—the ship will be a fabulous addition to our fleet,” said PortMiami Director Bill Johnson. “We are thrilled that this impressive vessel will make her debut at PortMiami-- the Cruise Capital of the World—and will be the third Norwegian Cruise Line ship to homeport here year round.”

We were so excited to see the 15 day itineraries thru the Canal on the Norwegian Jewel. They were exactly what we wanted. I have a group of 12 who were ready to book. (Family and friends, I am NOT a travel agent.) Now we find out that there are no such itineraries for Jan/February 2016. The Norwegian Jewel is scheduled to do Mexican Riviera cruises those months.

So disappointed and no one at NCL seemed to even know anything about the mix up.

Meanwhile back at the ranch...still nothing on South America on the website. Rumors now have June as the possible date for information. I wonder if NCL will give some type of bonus since they are putting the date less than 1 year out which might mean no early booking perks. I am really curious aout that one.

If they wait until December then they would be a year out. June is still 18 months 👍

Sorry Jim I should have said I was looking at January 2015. :) The June announcement would be at about 6 months which is why I was hoping NCL would offer a perk for those sailing in the 2015 season.
